"Great location for the tourist section on the waterfront. Beautiful rooms and lobby, very clean. We did not eat there, but the staff was nice and helpful. The only downside was that the window could not be fully blocked from light infiltration so the outdoor lights shone around the edges right into your face….had to get out the sleep mask."

"Hotel was good for location. Staff was friendly. Rooms have been updated and were clean and comfortable. There is a homeless problem in the parking lot at times. This no fault of the hotel, but just to be aware. They do try to get them to move along. Overall a good hotel for the price."

"This is a clean comfortable ideally located hotel in a safe area.The buffet breakfast is delicious and varied. You can walk anywhere in downtown Victoria in 10 to 20 minutes. The Legislature Building, the Royal BC museum, the harbour, The Empress Hotel are a few minutes away and such a pleasing view!! Chinatown is about 20 minutes away. Lots of shops and restaurants in the downtown. Fisherman's Wharf is a 15 minute walk with it's colourful floating homes and multiple restaurants. And a 15 minute walk down Menzies St to the seawall walkway along Dallas Road and a stroll on the Ogden Point Breakwater is a must. James Bay offers so much to do and Embassy Inn is accessible to all of it. Good value too! Would stay again!"
