I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel Recently refurbished to a high standard. Staff attentive and very helpful. Particularly enjoyed the musicians in the evenings and also at breakfast. Ate in the restaurant on several occasions and food was very good. The manager Mr Deepak Devpura made a point of asking each day, how my stay was going. He and his team made my stay so enjoyable. Give this place a try, i dont think you will regret it

Beautiful characterful rooms, clean and good breakfast.

We arrived before 9 am after 2 long flights and were immediately given a room well before normal check in time to recupriate. The following morning we were asked if we would like to move to a better positioned room by the pool, which we did. All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly especially Mr. Hookem (sorry if this is not how he spells his name) who put up with my inveterate questions and was helpful in every respect. The hotel is less than 10 minutes walk from the City Palace and...

This was my first time travelling to India, and being alone, I was excited but also initially a little apprehensive. The team at Kintsugi took any initial nerves away the moment I stepped foot through the door. This heritage property is an oasis of calm outside of the bustling town that is Udaipur. Within walking distance of the City Palace and lake, whilst also being far enough away that it feels like a calm retreat when needed. The staff made me feel like royalty. The breakfast and omelettes...

This is a hidden gem in a quaint location in the Old town of Udaipur. The manager Jassu was extremely friendly and helpful, arranging airport transfers, suggesting places to visit and eat, etc. The location is excellent, being close to the City Palace, Jagdish temple and Pichola lake. The views from the rooms are fantastic, especially if you book the Maharaja suite with its own large terrace. The amenities are modern, clean and well maintained, and we would happily return here.

Little gem hidden in the old Udaipur close to Jagadish temple and the traditional Hattie Pole shopping area with its narrow lane but colourful and full of life. Checkout Lalit Shree Arts (mob. 9785056192) who makes hand painted art with intricate design. The crowning jewel was the kitchen staff - the main chef Pravinji and all his kitchen staff including Bhupendra, Roopsing, Gopalji were very friendly to our needs. They do work hard and deserve 5 star from us. Also the staff at reception -...

Madri Haveli is located in a quiet but central street very close to all the main attractions which include the beautiful lake Pichola, the City Palace and some great shops selling footware at amazing prices plus textiles e.t.c. The management and staff were very helpful and our taxi driver called the hotel when we arrived so that the staff came to the taxi to collect our luggage for us. So do ask your driver to call. The roof-top restaurant is very good indeed with views over the lake and the...

Great location, every important points near by

The staff are amazing! Always there to help you out - they can’t do enough a huge thank you to you all. The hotel is stunning!!

This is not the Lake Palace: it is a traditional family-run hotel, with comfortable rooms, strong hot showers and good beds, set back from the lake (so you get breakfast views of the City Palace but not the lake), in a quiet area of Udaipur, yet still within easy reach of anywhere you'd wish to go. The staff were excellent, booking cars, sorting out ATM problems, and finding extra rugs in very chilly winter weather. The food is perfectly OK if you're dining in, and simple things like porridge...

I liked this hotel. It is quirky - an old haveli, rooms are all interesting and the landing areas between them have seating / meeting areas - cool and pleasant spaces. The room towels are a non-original shade of grey. Not dirty at all but not new I suppose. The dining area has a clear view of the lake and above it is more seating again with glorious views. The breakfast is comprehensive - some lovely pancakes - and the service there is excellent.

Views from hotel were amazing. Breakfast and room service also good. Staff very friendly.

Excellent location for the room rent to be paid. Proximity to all important sites by walking distance in the old city of Udaipur. Experience the stay in 240 years old family property managed and well maintained by the owner Mr Satyendrasinh, with lots of personal care and affection. You may enjoy the beauty of lake pichola for hours from the terrace of the hotel during morning and late evening and relax. No food service (except tea pot) is available in the hotel, but lots of good restaurants...

The room was amazing! The staff is super friendly, food and the roof top view pairs perfectly. Cozy common area and the host Arpit who bridges the gap among co-habitants. An amazing place!

Hotel is in convenient location close to the city palace. Lovely rooftop cafe/dining area with unparalleled view of night lit city palace.

A very enjoyable stay at the Smiling Sparrows Villa. The charming villa is nestled in the middle of the old city and can only be accessed either by rickshaw or on foot. The rickshaw drive to-from the villa was one of my favourite parts of the trip! It is perfect for small groups. There are two double rooms and extra beds if needed. The freshly cooked breakfasts from Bhagwati were lovely and he was very accommodating with our requests. I enjoyed the selection of books left by the owners. The...

Nice hotel. Smallish room. Only issue was I booked online for a twin and they gave us a double. So we had to get a single mattress to put on the floor. Since the room was not very big it became cramped. They should not offer twin as an option if they can't guarantee it.
