The hotel was so beautiful, serene and cozy. It’s centrally located in Ubud and there are so many good food options that are within a walkable distance. Even though it’s located in a busy area, the street it’s on is quiet and this gives a relaxed feel to the hotel. The rooms were clean and the staff were very hospitable. We loved our stay at Batu Empug cottages. Highly recommended!!

The property is a real gem. Located on a quiet side street near the city center and everything that you may need in Ubud: restaurants (including vegan), bars, sites, shops, boutiques, spas, yoga studios (10min walk to Yoga Barn), etc. The hotel is quiet, very clean, well-maintained, with pool and beautiful garden. Staff is wonderful and always ready to help.

Oasis in the Middle of Ubud
Loved our spacious room, our deck and the pool. It’s an quiet oasis in the middle of Ubud. The bathroom did not match the the room. Should have had a brown or warmer colored floor instead of black. The fluorescent lighting made the room even more stark instead of warm. All the fluorescent lights were too bright. Breakfast was delightful. Rika at the front desk is a gem!

First let me say I travel a lot as I was a flight Attendant for many years and stayed in many hotels and I would definitely recommend Batu Empug Cottages the staff there are very friendly out going and attentive with all your needs and the breakfast was fresh every morning and very delicious ...I would definitely stay here again!!
