"Had a wonderful stay for 3 nights in August. The hotel is beautifully located over looking a beautiful large sandy beach. Although there were many kids staying, it didnโt feel over run (other than a few overzealous dads throwing their small kinds over their heads in the indoor pool, which was a little unnerving)! The hotel was built in 1959 and looks a bit dated from the outside. However, inside it has been tastefully refurbished, though in keeping, and the facilities very good were up to spec. The bedroom was sizeable with a comfortable super kind bed and the walk-in wet room had two powerful showers and was lovely. Would have appreciated a shelf for toiletries and cosmetics and had to put those on the floor. We loved the refill stations for milk tea bags, coffee, water etc. which you took back to your room. Breakfast was a feast! Really one of the best Iโve ever had. A wide selection of continental meats. Cheeses, breads, fruits, cereals, compotes, yogurts etc. A full cooked breakfast is extra but not too expensive. We had a. Inclusive package, including car parking and a general spa package. The complimentary daily wellness wake up class at 8am in the studio over looking the sea was wonderful. Without exception the staff were polite, knowledgeable, kind and helpful. The beach walk is quite a climb coming back but well worth it. We were invited to use the facilities at the sister hotel nearby, namely The Scarlet Hotel. Itโs newer and is adults only."

"The hotel was pretty good in general. Room was fine: very clean. Slightly old-school grandparent vibe instead of funky Newquay surfer vibe, and some of the fittings were slightly run down if you looked closely, but that's being really critical. Breakfast was excellent with unusually good veggie choices. Staff were helpful. The beach location was dramatic. It was quite pricey but I suppose that's the cost when staying in Newquay last minute during school holidays."

"We chose Mannings for a second time due to its brilliant location for the theatre and the major bonus of secure parking. As with our previous visit, the staff were warm, friendly, and genuinely welcoming throughout our stay. They are a real credit to the hotel. Although comfortable and generally clean, the room was basic, and the decor a bit tired. The bathroom layout in particular is quite tight (at only 5'4", my knees were touching the door when using the toilet). The grout and silicone around the bath and shower are in need of a good deep clean or refresh, as inevitably in a well used room with built up moisture, it was grimy and stained. Appropriate allocation of time for a decent deep clean really would make a world of difference here. As a personal preference, it would be great to see improved in-room coffee options beyond standard instant sachets, and we missed the nice little biscuits provided on our first visit! Breakfast was straightforward and did the job well. The fresh croissants were delicious, and my husband was a big fan of the thick, creamy yoghurt. We really appreciate the location and the lovely hospitality from the team, but a bit more attention to room maintenance and the little details would make a big difference to the overall stay."

"A well presented resort and a well equipped self catering apartment. Located centrally in Cornwall for most days out. The Lookout bar is vibrant and busy most evenings. There is plenty for the younger people to do on site. The few things that require resolving: 1. The balcony seating was soaking wet on arrival. 2. The freezer box in the fridge was full of ice and could not be used. 3. Only one poor quality small loo roll was provided, it certainly allowed you to get in touch with your inner self. Would we return, yes now that we are aware of the pitfalls."

"Overall lovely hotel with beautiful decor and facilities. Everywhere was very clean. The overflow car park still undergoing building works and ยฃ27 a day for parking is very overpriced. No toilet roll in our room. Very slow service at breakfast and ran out of milk at and could only offer oat milk. Seemed to be more waiting staff just stood around rather than serving"
