"We turned up and there was already a family in the property, we had no way of contacting someone and the family kindly gave us the owners number who contacted us the next day but the night we arrived we were left stranded after 4 hours of driving with no where to stay with 3 young children. "Beautiful Hotel, the scenery is stunning, the only faults are in some of the rooms they have had to add on suites, however they are so small it’s difficult to even move in them, if you are a tall person you would not even be able to use the bathroom with the door shut, it’s a shame because otherwise everything was lovely."

"We had a great time - unique seaside and fabulous village`s location, fantastic design of the hotel, attention to detail, cosiness, very friendly staff, lovely, delicious rich breakfast. the room was uniquely cute - old England with modern service, very clean, coffee machine, table-top stylish airconditioning, tea set with local biscuits and tea, cute ceramic cups, warm throw, local drink filled fridge, huge TV screen, tall soft bed, unique warm curtains (throughout the hotel) - all these little things created a great atmosphere for us. Same time be ready - the architecture of the hotel has its own unique age, so some rooms on the highest levels will require you to use very small and steep stairs; our small room for two had a big period beam above one side of the bed, I loved it, same time it can be hard for someone older to crawl under to get into bed. This did not spoil the overall picture at all, but perhaps it is worth knowing about it in advance. You will enjoy this place!"

"I really enjoyed staying in this peaceful cottage, this is the second time I have stayed here. I slept very well in the comfy four poster bed and it's lovely not being troubled by light pollution. The coastal path is very close, and also a beautiful walk through the wooded valley to the waterfall. I had the option of using the log burner but found the cottage was cosy enough. There is lots to see and do in the area, but I chose to walk from the cottage every day, sketchbook in hand. I hope to return. "
