"Simon, the landlord, was personable and very helpful. We had both dinner and breakfast which were very nice. Our room was fine and the bathroom facilities adequate. The property generally could do with a bit of tlc but, that said, we had a nice stay."
"This is our 2nd time staying, and would definitely stay again. Newly built hotel, well maintained, lovely rooms with aircon. Great convenient location and staff very welcoming. Definitely recommend!"
"The property is attractive, room was lovely and clean, grounds were appealing and we had a room with French doors leading outside with a small table and chairs outside which was great for breakfast etc. There is a kitchen with everything you need to cook a meal which is a bonus if you fancy self catering.
Adam was helpful and informative.
Very quiet and relaxing location and perfect for visiting the area although you do need a car."
"Room spacious, coffee/tea facilities good, hotel convenient to road network, saw very little of staff as we left early in the morning. The receptionist was very pleasant and helpful. "

"We really enjoyed our stay at the Wilde Cambridge. Large, comfortable, clean room on the quiet side of the hotel (#302). The small, ensuite kitchen is a great option if you get tired of restaurant meals. There’s also a small, well equipped gym, and laundry facilities available. The staff was professional and courteous. The hotel is in a great central location, tucked away in a quiet corner a few blocks away from all of the hustle and bustle. The Wilde also has an excellent public space, and outdoor terrace to enjoy a drink and some snacks. There’s a bus stop right outside the front door if you prefer public transit over ride sharing. There’s a quaint pub/restaurant called the Maypole around the corner that has an extensive selection of local and international beer. The Wilde is great value for the money and a nice alternative to an Airbnb."
"Nothing majorly wrong with stay, staff pleasant, helpful and friendly. Rooms could do with a bit of a deep clean, but passable, although my room did not get serviced for the 3 nights I stayed, despite putting the sign on the door. ( reception said there was a new housekeeping team) Yes, rooms/building looking a little dated and tatty around the edges, but for the price paid is acceptable. Breakfast basic, tea/coffee, orange juice, cereal and toast, but again for the price point absolutely fine. Lovely quiet room with a veiw over farmers fields, petrol station with little shop and a Indian restaurant right next door."
Holiday Inn Express Cambridge West Cambourne by IHG
10/10 Excellent
"Great, clean modern hotel with good amenities. Well located in quiet retail area with Cambridge 20 mins away in car, or Park and Ride 10 mins away.
Friendly, helpful staff. Everything you need for a comfortable short stay including buffet breakfast, hot or cold.
Only negative was the hot breakfast quality not too good (eggs, and hash browns) but enough other items were more than enough for a decent breakfast. Would highly recommend and definitely would book again."
"Nice hotel near the motorway, so good if you are travelling. Breakfast was good. The only downside is that they charge for parking, which is very off putting seeing that you have already paid to stay there"
