"Brought our dog, he was well looked after with some nice touches such as a dog bed provided not just in room but also by dinner table. Always made to feel welcome. Food was excellent and service was also very good. The room was nice and well appointed, to having a Dyson hairdryer and attachments which showed a commitment to quality. All in all, a relaxing stay in lovely surroundings."

"We stayed 3 nights in a bleak February. The weather was bad, but the room was warm and cosy. The dining hall was shut, but a continental breakfast was laid out on the landing and a small table and chairs provided in the room. Cooked breakfast was available for a small extra fee, but we didn't feel we needed one. We were in the Cream Room and we were pleased that the "private bathroom" was en suite.which we weren't sure of from the description. This is a working farm. The field opposite during our stay was home to a flock of sheep. We also heard owls during the night, which we haven't heard for some time. All in all, a good value and pleasant stay."

"Parking available at the property, nice village location. Room was nice with period features (although disappointed the 4-poster bed not there as advertised). Food from the pub was delicious although you could hear the noise from downstairs - this didn't particularly bother us but be aware if an early or light sleeper that the rooms are above the bar. Overall we enjoyed our stay. "

"Don’t come if you’re a family. Came last night and the restaurant doesn’t cater for children. Paid for a meal which my daughter couldn’t eat as it was over seasoned for adults then got asked for a tip. Then left our swimming stuff in the room by mistake came back to collect but as ‘after three’ apparently no one in the hotel can access the area or tell me if it’s been found. Poor communication and no attempt to assist from the staff. Be aware the pool and spa are extra with limited access time for children. Clearly focused on trying to be a ‘boutique’ Spa hotel and is in no way family focused. "
