Great restaurant

Checked in mid evening and was cold outside. Was informed at check in that the team had been to my room and closed the curtains and put the heating on so it was not cold. Wow now that’s some check in service

Not forgetting Dora the adorableCockerpoo...If your thinking of holidaying near Staithes/runswick Bay / Sandsend /Whitby this is the place you need to say....oh and the lemon muffins at breakfast are to die for..The bus stop is 30 seconds away were it costs £3 to go anywhere ..

This place is a HUGE hidden gem! From start to finish, the service, staff, spa, value for money, everything was fantastic! We have stayed in many many hotels in the UK and this hotel has to be our favourite. The secret garden spa for an extra £25pp is worth every penny! We stayed in Tiplady 4 and it was perfect sitting outside as it was south facing so ordered a bottle of wine and nibbles before going to Nu Sana for an evening meal. Nu Sana food was brilliant and we had breakfast in the...

Excellent all round. Lovely big rooms and great staff. Food brilliant for dinner and also breakfast.

A very quirky clean boutique hotel with fantastic sea view. I would highly recommend it

We were very happy with our stay . Beautiful hotel in an amazing location

Second visit to this guest house, everything to a high standard with the benefit of great outdoor space and views

What a suprise , I don’t think the this hotel was advertised well enough, a beautiful property in large well maintained grounds, friendly , polite staff, good breakfast and so clean, nowhere was overlooked, I will recommend and definitely come again.

This was our second stay at the Forest and Vale. Our first since 'lockdown' and we were delighted that the hotel was as good as before. Unfortunately, we could only get a standard double room in the 'cottage annexe' No view but this was perfectly comfortable and adequate for our 4-night stay. Breakfasts were delightful, Cooked to order with plenty of choice. Good dinner menu too. The biggest plus point for this hotel though is the staff. Always friendly and helpful Few if any hotels we have...

It is close to motorway and easy to drive around. Staff is friendly. Food in the restaurant is of high standard. The room is clean and spacious.

Excellent service and great location

Great quiet place, lovely location go there again Great staff

My husband and I stayed overnight and what a pleasant night it was. We were greeted with the friendly lady at the check in desk who arranged a booking in the restrurant, the room was cosy and very clean and the bed was really comfortable. The hotel itself is beautiful both inside and out. Our meal at The Stables was delicious and our waiter was so helpful and super friendly, he even told us about the history of the hotel as we'd said we'd been to the Beamish Museum earlier that day and he...

Diddn't use parking or spa but hotel was very convenient for the city centre. Dining room a bit cold. Excellent choice at breakfast and evening meals tasty.

Nice clean rooms with comfy beds! We ate lunch, dinner and breakfast at the hotel and the food is lovely. The Italian restaurant is as good as any Italian I’ve eaten at! Staff friendly and welcoming- we would definitely stay there again! Thanks Holiday Inn!😁
