The craftsmanship in the woodwork, the thoughtful layout, the books available to read, and the comfortable seating areas by the fireplace all make it feel welcoming and relaxed. The restaurant continues to be excellent, and the team here is truly top notch. The staff are always friendly, attentive, and happy to help with whatever you might need. You can tell they genuinely care about the experience their guests have. Places like this are becoming harder to find, hotels that have real character and people who take pride in what they do. "Check in was not available until 4:30. Asked the front desk lady why the room wasn’t ready and she suggested I stay somewhere else if I did not want to wait. Pretty poor accommodations. "

"The room was clean. The staff was efficient and friendly. The complimentary breakfast choices were good and the eggs were cook perfectly. The problems were the road noise was all night long with little sound dampening from from the windows. The room cooler/air conditioner didn't seem to have a slow fan setting so the noise from it was also loud during the night. Therefore we didn't have a very restful night's sleep. "

"The room and outside property was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. The wi-fi is not a secure connection so I didn't use that. They had a nice business area in the lobby (also didn't use that). The breakfast was very good and it was nice that it started at 6am so that we could make use of it on days we had an early start. Good areas on and around the property for walking a dog, and cleanup bags and disposal were provided in the back area. There was an issue with getting charged twice for our pet fee, but that was fixed upon request so overall, it was a great stay!"
