"The house is a very unique house with a deep history set in extensive formal gardens. The staff, particularly in reception and the Restaurant are attentive and very pleasant. The age and design of the house allows functions such as weddings and prom parties to be held without disturbing other guests.
It may be a little dog-eared but that seems to add to its charm."
"Lovely, cosy pub hotel. Great food with a choice of menus, ranging from the tasting menu to simple (but very well done) pub fayre. We chose from the pub menu, special mention to the fish and chips, perfect! Accompanied by a good choice of drinks, with beer from the local Thornbridge brewery. Very handy spot for local attractions. We stayed for one night on a mini-break and the room was perfect. Lovely bedroom decoration, nicely fitted out bathroom with a decent sized bath and rainfall shower and a very comfy bed. Tea annd coffee making facilities provided along with chilled fresh milk. All super clean. Great breakfast too, toast or pastry stater with a good range of breakfast mains option. We had the FEB, black pudding was just perfect to soak up the previous nights ale..
