"We have stayed at this hotel numerous times when visiting family. The facility is tired but it is clean and the staff are nice. My reservation for a mobility handicapped accessible room occasionally shows up as a hearing accessible which won't work for us. The staff has been very helpful at correcting Expedia's error."

"This place is disgusting. My room had several ants in it 😣 If you look at the video on the black & brown counter you can see several ants they’re hard to see at first because they blend in. I contacted Samantha, who claims to be the manager, & the best she could do was a $50 refund. I specifically booked a room with a tub because I wanted to take a bath. I didn’t even get to do that because of this ant infestation & the property doesn’t take it seriously. When I let Samantha know there were ants she was like “yeah, that happens during this season.” If it’s such a common occurrence it should be marketed as such. If I would have gotten a full refund I wouldn’t even be as mad. I didn’t pay for a room with ants in it & when I let Samantha know that she said that I already got the room at a discounted price. Sounds like just because something is at a discount means it doesn’t meet quality standards."

"Great hotel, beautiful, and well appointed. Unfortunately despite paying extra for breakfast for 2 during our booking, they said we had to pay again on-site. Very disappointed in that and I was tempted to complain."

"This was definitely an older property and budget-wise. It was conveniently located and easy to find (our first time in area). The bed was very soft-a bit strange. I would stay here if I am concerned about expenses, but the next time I think we'll spend more and stay at a bit more upscale of a hotel."

"The Palace Hotel is very conveniently located right in the middle of the historic district of Port Townsend. The hotel itself has a great and varied history, and each room is decorated to reflect the history of the hotel. Our bed was comfortable, our room was clean, and the two flights of stairs on were a lot, we for sure got all our steps in! Port Townsend is friendly and charming, and has several delicious restaurants to choose from!"
