"So disappointing. We booked this as a mid-way break on our 16 day driving tour; 1 night in a resort with spa facilities. The pool, hot tub, saunas, and whirlpool; all closed. The bar was closed! "We have just returned from a week at Hotel D’Olonne (or should I say Chateau D’Olonne). We were excited before arrival, and we were not disappointed.

"Excellent hotel right next to the l'aiguille du midi gondola! The location is a 3 minute walk away from the pedestrian areas so it was very quiet, thankfully. Staff was friendly snd caring. Our room had AC! This was welcome as the sun was strong and the days were hot. Breakfast was a full buffet and delicious. I would stay there again. Highly recommend!"

"There is no need to look any further! A lovely old hotel with a great location - a little removed from the hustle and bustle of town but very close! A wonderful, accommodating staff, beautiful grounds, nice bar, great restaurant and a waiting vehicle to take you to wherever you would like - in a big valley like Chamonix that is very valuable. We stayed at two other locations and now that we know, we will never stay anywhere else! Enjoy"

Eight minute drive from downtown Chamonix but also the hotel is in a beautiful area (near a golf course) to walk. Staff were excellent, friendly and helpful.
