Sintra Green Chalet - Bed & Breakfast

"We arrived and checked in with Irena (?)who was extremely helpful. She even used her own laptop to book us tickets to visit the Pena Palace. The room was small but very clean and comfortable. Highly recommend the breakfast. Excellent. And Katarina, who was on the front desk, was very helpful. All said, Sintra is a wonderful town to visit and the Green Chalet was a great place to stay."

"We stayed in a studio room, it was located on an upper floor, which was very nice. With the balcony we had a nice view of the property. All amenities were right there, so made for easy access. Would recommend this resort to all."

Hotel Fortaleza do Guincho Relais & Châteaux

"We had a fantastic 9 days here, exploring nearby Caiscais, Lisbon and the surrounding coastline by foot, bike and car while enjoying the superb Hotel Fortaleza. Alexandre, Vitor, Iris and Diogo made us feel so welcome on arrival and were always on hand to address queries. Similarly, the excellent bar and restaurant team (particularly Bruna, Pedro, Mariana, Rui, Daniela and many others, working both in front and behind the scenes) ensured we enjoyed truly excellent breakfasts and a superb selection of snacks, lunches and evening meals. Freshly prepared, nutritious food was abundant alongside a wide variety of breads, scones and pastries baked daily in-house. The view of the Atlantic Ocean and stunning Guincho and Cressima beaches (with all types of surfers) from the breakfast room was uniquely enjoyable as was retiring to the superb foyer day and night to enjoy a drink and beautiful surroundings. Our room was extremely comfortable (the biggest bed I might ever have slept in!) with a full range of complementary coffees, ports, cookies and similar treats. I loved that the hotel, while based on the site of an old fort, combines impressive architecture and furnishings with comfort and elegance - with the maintenance team do a superb job of daily upkeep. One of the best value holidays we've had where we could combine active days with luxurious, relaxing evenings. Thank you so much Petra to you and your superb team - we have glorious memories to look back on and hope to return!"

"Breakfast was very weak Room was clean the bathroom was renovated not too long ago but the toilet was too close the a glass shower wall and the shower rain head did not work and if you were no careful it detached for the wall."

"Friendly staff, elevator, very nice breakfast, large room. We were on the 4th floor with sloped ceiling because of the rooftop which affected some of the features of the room. Weird bathroom mirror made seeing your face difficult unless you bent down. Shower lacked water pressure, and our “view” was a small window that was too high up to see out of. Also, there was mold or mildew growing in a corner of the ceiling (probably roof leaking)."
