"Very nice and clean rooms"

"This hotel is located across from a restaurant complex so lots of options for food nearby. Mostly for lunch & dinner. Breakfast at the hotel is a limited menu but what they have is done well & freshly cooked. Price is reasonable for the area. The hotel restaurant is usually empty at lunch & dinner. The bar isn't busy in the evenings. Breakfast is busier & the waitstaff were friendly, fast & efficient. This is a pet friendly hotel which worked well for us. The room was clean. Hubby inspected the room thoroughly before we brought our pet & belonging in. The room had 2 queen beds, a mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, tv, desk & small sitting area by the window. The bathroom was stocked with clean towels, a hair dryer, & hotel brand toiletries. There is also a small closet with an iron & ironing board. All in all this is a decent hotel. If you're bothered by street noise ask for a quiet room. Our room faced the road & it was quite noisy for me. Hubby was fine with the noise though."

Residence and Conference Centre – Toronto

"Maybe it's common knowledge that "residence and conference centre" means unoccupied college dorms rented out as minimal hotel rooms, but we didn't know and the listing didn't make it clear. It was not an aparthotel in the sense of being a converted apartment building. My spouse and I checked in to find the room was a small dorm suite with two bedrooms, a bathroom, and kitchenette. Fine for the price. However, the room was uncomfortably hot and the A/C was not working. Worse, the bedsheets looked like they had not been cleaned, simply made up by the staff. There were several long hairs in the sheets/pillowcase and the fitted sheet had a large yellow sweat stain in the center. We asked for fresh linens - hair-free but still stained yellow despite being (hopefully) laundered - but we were told they could do nothing about the A/C. Upon further investigation, we found reddish stains on the pillow under the pillowcase and we were initially concerned it might reflect a bedbug infestation. However, further investigation of the mattresses suggested this may have "only" been an old bloodstain and not a sign of pests. After a night unable to sleep in the heat and grossed out, we checked out early and were told there would be no refunds for the remainder of our 6-night stay. Cannot recommend. Spend 10-20 dollars more per night and get a basic motel room the same distance from Toronto."

"Very clean hotel. Cleaning staff came every day and went beyond to ensure all supplies were restocked, towels etc. Pool and recreation facilities onsite are the best available in this whole area for any hotel. Good location, can walk to countless restaurants nearby, and easy to get to highways."
