The Omni Homestead Resort & Spa

"I think the activities are the star here. I stayed 2 nights, weather was fabulous. Iโd definitely try to get discounted rates. Room and food were average. I wouldnโt use the term โluxuriousโ here. Pool and hot tub were very nice. Prepare for an expansive property. I love all the porches and seating areas throughout. They have a full movie theater. The room was lacking a bit which I think just needs better housekeeping audits - no handsoap or kleenex present, did not have warm water in shower, would call it cool. Bathroom fan looks like it has not been cleaned for years (not kidding). The only comment I have about all these types of hotels is that the mountains and the small town here (a lot closed mondays and tuesdays) are by nature inhospitable. There should be a 24 hour stand somewhere within the property where guests can get needed items in the middle of the night. There is no CVS, no Walgreens, no ubers, etc. etc. but if comfort and taking care of guests is important, I should not have to anticipate all this and learn the hard way when I get here. Fortunately a family member works around here so Iโm familiar with the limitations. An IGA grocery store (not within walking distance) is here in town and closes nightly at 9 pm."

"100% recommend the Georges! Wish we were staying more than 1 night. The room, bed, towels were wonderful. Ate dinner and breakfast at Tapas and the food was excellent. The staff were helpful, friendly and seemed very happy. Would definitely stay there again."

"Another wonderful stay in Lexington while visiting my daughter at VMI. I love the location of the Gin though I will say this time I didnโt sleep very well due to hallway noise and overall room discomfort. AC worked well, but the room was just loud, awkward light coming in from outside and awkward outlet offerings in the room just made for a bit perfect trip as I have had in the past."

"It is a great hotel and the place is wonderful to visit. But it still has not recovered fully from the COVID era. One thing I really disliked was that the bath towels were small, very worn and hard like a sandpaper. Likely they never used a softener in washing them. I'd recommend bring your own towels and bath amenities if you are not baggage limited."
