"Very nice vibe "

"I booked a 4 night stay. On the first morning the shower door which opened inwards jammed and I was trapped with no means of summoning help. The only thing which stopped me panicking was I had arranged to meet a friend for breakfast. She summoned assistance but as the door had been locked overnight for security they could not open it. The maintenance man took over 1 and a half hours to cut a large hole in the wall next to the lock and cut through metal using an axle grinder before entry. It took him a great deal of strength to push the faulty door inwards. I had been standing naked trapped for over 2 and a half hours. As a senior citizen who often travels solo, I am uncertain as to as to how long rescue would have occurred with no friend to raise an alarm. Possibly 5 days when I did not check out. Rooms were well sound proofed and staff could not have been alerted. It has taken 5 days for the manager of the hotel to communicate with me offering 50% discount which is totally inadequate to the gravity of the situation. It was a frightening experience which should never have happened. Health and Safety rules ignored. No alarm in the shower and no over ride of the locking mechanism. If it had been a medical emergency, I would be dead! It frightens me to think that if travelling alone it could have taken days before I was rescued"

"We paid for two rooms which was no small amount of money. There was only one regular espresso in each room that amounted to a sip. Would have been really nice to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning. Further, the room that I was in had only one mirror - there was certainly space on the wall above the desk for a mirror, but it was empty space. Always nice to have more than one mirror when there is more than one person in the room. Hotel was in a convenient location, but you could not walk out of the hotel or back to the hotel without being hounded by the restaurants or the souvenir folks. Somebody should tell them it is a complete turnoff and all travel guides advice you to NOT eat at restaurant if you are being hounded!!!!"

"Room is a bit tiny. Luggage for 2 person is quite awkward Area was nice, staff very helpful."

"The hotel room was large and lovely. The breakfast included was very limited. The buns were stale and the coffee lukewarm. I was very disappointed in this buffet breakfast. Also there is not much of a lounge area like some of the other hotels in the area. But the bed was great and the room very spacious."

"Breakfast is just so so, nothing special. Some of the staffs are not very nice, except for Filippa. When I requested for a packed breakfast, I requested for a brown/wheat bread, instead of white. The staff said yes, but we still got white bread sandwiches. We will look for other hotels next time we come back."

"Loved this hotel. Modern clean rooms which were a good size with space for cases. Quiet air con, soundproofed windows, modern clean bathrooms. Decent breakfast selection, great location 2 minutes from Rossio metro and Rossio mainline station (for Sintra). Would definitely stay here again."
