But my favorite parts of Sedona are the little known secret places, that you can explore and experience without the crowds. This gem is one of those secret locations. Sedona almost never gets snow, and when it does snow, it rarely sticks. So when a giant snow storm shut down the whole city last winter, we were dying to go out and get some epic snow pictures! Locals refer to this spot as the Birthing Cave. It is tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the more touristy parts of the city. It is a fairly easy hike to get here, but getting up into the cave is a whole other story! It requires a lot of scrambling, and some serious guts! The property is in walking distance to a number of good restaurants and to the stores and shops. We were a little disappointed in the small size of the bathroom and we think that they could offer a little more around the coffee table in the morning like half and half instead of powered milk.

Great location!

Cedars Resort is centrally located. Short walk to uptown and to the shopping village. Views were amazing and I look forward to staying here again.
Didn't use the pool, but it looked nice overlooking the mountains.
