My husband and I stayed at the hotel for 3 nights this past week to see family and friends. We paid for a larger room, but the layout was so odd! Long hallway in the entryway, which could have been used better for a larger bathroom. The bedroom was small and the living room was quite large. The bathroom sink was all the way to the right side, which was on the door side, and the door kept closing, so we had to hold the door open with our leg or hip. The shower pressure was worst we've ever had - and the glass doors kept opening during the shower. One morning the "auto light" turned off in the middle of my shower, and the next morning the drain didn't drain properly so I had to finish showering in my own soapy mess. Last morning the light turned off again; not sure why they need to use an auto light? The living room was spacious, but no microwave? Just a fridge and small coffee maker with no condiments for coffee. The couch cushions kept falling off the couch. And only one light in the living room, so it was terribly dark when we were in there at night. We got there on Sunday, and had a nice lunch at the Boat House with bartender Kelly. This was probably our favorite experience at the hotel. The next 2 nights, the restaurant/bar were closed. With a full hotel, why would the restaurant not be open? The front desk staff were also hit or miss. The 2 girls we came across were pleasant, but all of the men were on their phones. Very disappointing all around.

Employee at the front desk when checking in not welcoming and not informative at all. He basically wanted our auto information and a cc to keep on file. That’s about it. Very cold customer service. Young lady a little while later had a hard time coming up with any restaurants in the area. She also was not informative to an expected level. I was unhappy about this. The property and the cleanliness of the room was superb. You should serve breakfast on Mondays !

The lake view room was nice until we changed rooms due to inability to lower room temperature and no maintenance personnel available to check. Moved to another room with a less desirable view and no remote control.

This is the most basic “Motel” I have ever stayed in. They had a pool. They had a mini fridge and that was it. No microwave. Beds were the worst I’ve slept on in years. The parking was limited. Free coffee as long as you get it by 0830.But cold. No bar. No breakfast or snacks. They had an overpriced restaurant attached that they want you to use. If you literally want a single night to sleep in an uncomfortable bed and then leave the next day then this is for you. Wouldn’t recommend it for ANYTHING other than a single night stay. For the area you can do way better at most of the other lodgings…

Beautiful spot, cobwebs and dust from dryer vents all over the outside walkways. Should be better maintained. You had to exit the building to enter the restaurant/bar, as they had an event in the room that connected them. This in a poor arrangement and certainly hurt the restaurants business.

Liked that it is in the beautiful Adirondacks. Nice pool, hot tub and fitness room. However, no access to television in the fitness room. Unable to watch ABC, NBC, CBS in room. The restaurant service is very slow and food not that good.

The hotel does not worth the price,nothing to do in the lobby , no entertainment at all , they said it is free breakfast which is supposed to be for 4 people as we reserved but they gave us only one 25 coupon for 1 person and we had to fight to get at least for 3 people which is not clear only for one person breakfast when we booked I will never stay here again plus the breakfast was the worse you could ever eat and the worst service took them an hour to bring our order and there is only 3 tables

Disappointed with size of room (we booked Deluxe). Wouldnt want to stay in smaller room. On Sundays to Tuesdays, their restaurant is closed it appears and many other in the town. Best to book in Lake Placid. New hotel, clean, well maintained and staff does their best. Wont be returning for sure.

I was in this hotel two times. Rooms are excellent: clean and comfortable. Staff is very friendly and professional. The pool unfortunately very small and overwhelming, so it is should be cleaned every day to avoid hairs swimming in the water. Rest of facilities are perfect.

Ticks all the right boxes
It's a very decent lodging and definitely checks a ton of the baseline boxes you may not receive from some of the other area hotels, motels, and bed n breakfasts that might have had a more charming touch. Since we traveled in winter, I imagine the reliable heat here would be superior at other hotels by comparison, though it did take a while for the room to heat up to a comfortable level (enough to question whether we should say something about it, but ultimately thought it was fine). As a couple going to the area again on our Anniversary, we'd probably opt for something with more charm though - or at least a touch of luxury. Great for families, however, since most rooms have a door that will connect them to the next room... There's a pool for the kiddos and a gym for the teens and adults - both of which are well-maintained, even during the busy weekend that we stayed

This was the worst hotel I think I have ever stayed at. There was no mattress pad or fitted sheet on one of the beds in our room. Upon asking for the clerk told me he could get one out of storage and I could put it on. It’s one of the mattress pads that covers the whole mattress by going underneath the mattress and then zips up top. Not only how, but WHY am I supposed to lift this mattress and do this myself? I paid for a room and this should have been taken care of before I was assigned this room. I understand mistakes happen, but he should have offered for someone in housekeeping to take care of this. I then asked if I could just have a different room and he tells me there are no others. Meanwhile there is literally not even 10 cars in the parking lot, so not sure how this hotel was supposedly full. I finally get another room but it’s not the room I payed for, it’s less expensive, so of course I ask for a refund for the difference, and I’m told I can’t have one that I have already paid. To keep the rest of the incidents short, there was dog poop tracked all through hall, all the way to the elevator and in the elevator. The toilet ran water all night long, you could see where it was leaking out of the back of the toilet. The smoke detector apparently was not functioning properly and flashed a bright blue light all night long. Both of these things kept us from getting any sleep. All of this is completely unacceptable for what was paid for this room.

Staff was excellent . Special thanks to Christine to get us served when they were so busy with the winter festival. She went above and beyond. Our room was comfortable and we enjoyed the view of the Lake. Breakfast, which was included, was very good.

Family celebration
We booked 3 rooms to celebrate our daughter’s birthday. Drove 6 1/2 hours and was greeted by Julie at the front desk with a friendly smile. Her kindness and hospitality was outstanding! The hotel is clean with all the amenities. Pool was a little cold but hot tub was just right! Hotel is convenient to all sights. Logan at the bar made a great old fashion. Highly recommend!
