"Excellent stay at the Porto River. The only mistake we made is NOT having them organize our taxi ride from the train. We took a taxi, but he wouldn't take us down to the river and we had to walk down the hill to the hotel. The hotel had offered, but we didn't think it was a big deal to have them order the taxi but it WAS. We had them order the taxi BACK to the station and it can come down to the entrance of the hotel so you don't have to lug your luggage!!! Otherwise, everything was great. ...

"Cale guesthouse far exceeded our expectations. It is a nice cosy place in the heart of town. Easy access to everything. Chris at the front desk made us feel welcome and was very helpful in answering all our questions. I would love to go back. "

"The one piece of feedback that I have for this hotel is to not put perfume on the carpets in the hallways. It appeared that they were using some kind of perfume in the hallways which is not good for customers with breathing problems. Otherwise this was a lovely hotel, close to everything and on the river."

"Amazing and beautiful property in a perfect location. I’d give this 10/10 however the air conditioning units in the apartment did not work and seem haven’t been serviced for some time as do not produce cool air at all so the apartment was very very uncomfortable from its hot temperature."
