"A lovely hotel with friendly & helpful staff. Large studio apartment. Everywhere is kept clean. Breakfast selection is limited, although fine for me. Maintenance work continued on main pool so this was closed. People put towels to reserve sunbeds which would be frustrating at high season. 20 min walk into Vilamoura which was further than we’d thought but an easy walk, so not a problem for us. "We booked a comfort double sea view room and were ever glad we did! What a view. The room was renovated and looked beautiful. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom did not get renovated and was dated. It really didn’t go with the room but the view solved any doubts we had. The breakfast was excellent. Location was phenomenal and did I mention the view? We used Bolt to get to around in addition to walking You definitely stay here again. "

"The location is lovely - very quiet and peaceful in early April. The accommodation was in very good condition and comfortable. Reception staff were very welcoming and helpful. We arrived well before check in time and although the house wasn't ready yet, we were told we could use the facilities (pool, etc.) The accommodation we had (sea view) happened to be right at the bottom of the complex nearest the village, which was perfect for us as we mainly wanted to go to the restaurants, etc. and...

"The Locke is a lovely place to stay. The neighbourhood is conveniently located a few steps away from Marques de Pombal Metro, allowing easy acess to all areas of Lisbon. The property itself is delightful and I opted for one of the more budget friendly rooms in building D, which although located in the basement it is bright and airy due to the large windows at street level...anyhow I wasn't about to spend much time in my room when there's an entire city to explore. That being said the Locke de Santa Joana drips history while at the same time featuring all the mod cons we humans expect. Also, don't forget to make a reservation at the restaurant in the courtyard of the former 17th century convent..the Santa Marta...outstanding food and outstanding people who work there."
