"A historic stone building, in an isolated delightful little countryside village. Tastefully adapted within the constraints of it's origin - appealing to anyone who dislikes soulless modern road hotels with 24-hour road noise. Instead, open your window (You can!! Hooray!!) and listen to birdsong. Comfort, peace, undisturbed sleep between days of hassle in nearby towns. Deliciously, the 2-foot-thick walls protect you from the demands of phone contact 😀 - that only restarts when you leave the building. The owners are helpful without being assertive. The Restaurant food is superb, and in generous quantity. All this at a price competitive with awful pseudo-US motel chains. I'm in that area half a dozen times a year: at last I've found where I'll stay each time."
