The rooms are small but feel comfy. This hotel is in a fantastic location in San Francisco for anyone wanting to conveniently walk to the Ferry Market building or an even longer walk to Fisherman’s Wharf. Room was clean and quiet each night. Staff at front desk very helpful and pleasant.

The room was super small. One one side had a night stand. We had no outlets near the head of the bed so we had to charge our phones on the floor by the door. The elevator is old and slow. It was more convenient to take the stairs. The window didn’t give off much sunlight as our window faced a wall. Only one water dispenser and it was in the lobby. The only saving grace is that the restaurant attached to the hotel.

This is a gem boutique hotel a short walk from the Embarcadero. Staff are very guest-centered. I particularly appreciate the morning coffee and pastry selection. The rooms are small, but they are clean and well-appointed. There is also a nice bar and restaurant onsite - Perry’s. It was my 2nd vist to Hotel Griffon, and I would be happy to return.

This was a great boutique hotel. The bed was comfy. The staff were friendly and professional. The location on the embarcadero was perfect. Close to the Exploratorium and Oracle Park just to mention a few. The only thing we didn't like was no on site parking. We had to pay to park in a garage across the street.

Excellent service from the very friendly staff. A warm greeting every pass. The lobby shares an entry to Perry's restaurant which offers an affordable and delicious diniing option. Cool old hotel with climate control. Super charming and seconds away from the waterfront.

The room was too small. The only view i had was of two walls and a fire escape ladder! The bathroom was too small. The first time I took a shower,the water pressure was weak. A technician had to come and adjust the pressure. The staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful.

Friendly staff, very clean, and I loved Perry's. It was fun to walk to the pier from the hotel. Even if you are in a room without a view, the views are just a walk across the street. Anne, who checked us in was lovely. She made sure we were in a room that was right next to the elevator, so my Mum, who has severe Arthritis, wouldn't have to walk far. She also assured us that there were no feather pillows (I am allergic!) Anne was very informative, and answered all of our questions. It is an old and small building, so if you aren't ok with cozy it won't be for you, but I feel like it adds to the charm. It was also close to many destinations, and close to the transit center. Everywhere we wanted to go was within a 10-20 min range. This just became our go-to hotel for San Francisco

This so called 3-star hotel is possibly one of the worst I've experienced. The room is extremely small; two people can barely move around comfortably. The infrastructure feels so outdated; the air conditioner even does not have basic digital controls and seems straight out of the last century. The TV awkwardly hangs from the top corner of the wall. Additionally, I could hear footstep from the floor above, which was quite bothersome. Overall, it was a disappointing experience during my trip

Enjoyed our stay! Room was basic, but clean, and staff was amazing. Hot water was out one morning and they discounted rate without us having to ask. Wonderful location, easy walk to Oracle Park and all public transit. Had a great trip!
