The property is convenient, it is in the heart of Little Italy. It is not awful. However, we would not return. We were excited to be in San Diego and felt very upbeat when we arrived. The person at the desk was not that friendly and that did dampen the mood a bit. When we arrived in our room, it seemed ok. However the first thing we noticed as we were unpacking was that there is no closet. There is a hanging rod that is not even two feet wide and a cupboard on which you can put your suitcase. The doors of the cupboard were falling off. The other suitcase had to be placed on the desk. The bathroom has a pedestal sink with a very small glass shelf above the sink. Makes it difficult to get ready. The wall beside the sink was dirty full of specks as was the bathroom mirror. They sent someone to clean it. Other than our first encounter, everyone else we dealt with was very friendly, we ended up leaving earlier that expected to another hotel, with a larger room. .

The hotel itself was so cute. The room was smaller than expected but cozy. The parking situation is very tight. It’s perfect for compact cars and even then those struggle to get out. Parking is an additional daily charge.

We love little Italy and that is why we picked this hotel. While most of the staff was pleasant, upon arrival (4:30pm with a 3pm check-in) the woman at the desk was staring at her phone and said there were no rooms available. We prepaid months before our reservation. She asked us to pay the $100 deposit before our room was available. I politely declined and asked to please assign us a room before we paid. 10 seconds later they had one available. We came during one of the least busy parts of the year so this was unexpected. Besides the initial negative interaction, we had a good stay. Room keys stopped working occasionally but that isn’t rare with hotels so no big deal. They don’t do daily room tidying but will if you request.

Our receptionist was on the phone with the housekeepers upon you arriving to see and verify if there were any rooms to be marked available to be able to do a full check-in so sorry about any confusion that may have caused. We do use our phones to keep contact between coworkers.

The hotel is in a great location. Young people at the desk were very hospitable and friendly. The rooms are small, stark and utilitarian. Nice bathroom but no shelf space. It’s also noisy as it is so centrally located on the busiest block in Litgkexiraly. But again, very convenient. Gym is super basic. But at least there’s a gym. Parking in hotel garage is affordable and necessary. There’s very limited street parking.

So this hotel was relatively nice and clean. The rooms are very small but the bathroom was modern. I don't love the sink being in the room rather than in the bathroom but that is very minor. My room was on the second floor and faced the main street so because the hotel was right in the middle of little Italy, it was noisy up until at least midnight. Unfortunately the TV didn't work (I didn't ask them to repair it) and the USB ports didn't work either but that wasn't a huge deal. Otherwise, it was a nice stay and the staff were friendly and helpful.

The overall vibe of our stay was so mellow. The employees were courteous and helpful. The shower was " different" with half a door. Overall it was an excellent visit.

The hotel had a very nice atmosphere. The only issue we had was that the room was very noisey and warm. We could not figure out how the air conditioner worked. Very nice room.

I wouldn’t say I didn’t like it but iv stayed at better hotels in my day. Pro’s LOCATION, the parking is $35 per day ,the AC is great, and a mini fridge in the room. The room was kind of small for 2 and no view of little Italy. There’s no pick up service you would have to request it so it gave me kind of dirty vibes but the bed is comfy and the gym was small but had essentials. They also have a conference room with a microwave, a coffee and tea station. The bathroom look rusty and like it had not been cleaned in a while. Everything is walking distance so if you’re not in your room most of the time I say do it! They allowed early check in/out so that was clutch!

Great pied-a-terre in Little Italy. I’ve stayed here a couple times while attending a conference at the Grand Hyatt. Fantastic location. Everything is walkable. Even the airport for the hearty and lightweight travelers. No daily housekeeping. Affordable and nice esp if you upgrade to a City View room.

Room was average. They have these rooms outside of the regular hotel area, with hallways with no ac, and we were given one of those. Dodnt like the atmosphere honestly. Another policy that seems excesive is that they charge $100 as deposit, even though you stay for a night, ok. Other than that, great location and clean

Tiny rooms, clean. GREAT LOCATION in the heart of Little Italy. Coffee shop right next door. Excellent restaurants. Walkable to Seaport Village, Balboa Park, the Embercadero. Parking under hotel, extra charge, will NOT accommodate a large vehicle.

We appreciated the location of the property and the dining amenities were the reason we chose the hotel. the rooms were smaller than expected but clean and cozy. We were disappointed that upon room selection from the package service (Expedia) the rooms were presented as having a view, the only view received was that of a block wall in the alley.

Terrible. I don’t even know where to start. There is no checkin driveway, they will tell you to park in a red zone (assuming somone isn’t already there) and hope you don’t get a ticket while you checkin. When you do get checked in, parking is almost non existent. Unless you drive a Mini, they can’t park you in their garage, I drive a standard size Explorer and I was told “it’s too big”. They will tell you there is parking nearby, but it’s full because of where they are located. I had to park 5 blocks away in an open lot that cost me $50 a night. Oh, and the machines on the lot only went a maximum of 12 hours so I got to wake up at 4:30 a.m. to walk 5 blocks to reload the meter. They have one person working front desk at any given time, so if you catch them during their “break” you get to have a conversation with them while they eat. The windows in the bedroom have blackout blinds, but the bathroom window does not and because the bathroom door is glass the bright lights outside pour into your room all night. There is no vending machines available. Terrible, awful experience.

Good evening,We are so sorry you did not have the best experience in Little Italy. We are aware with how difficult parking can be in this area and we do our best to inform guests who are bringing a car of the challenges they may experience. 50/night is more expensive than our lot, however it is the average price for overnight parking in the area. As for the employee eating at the front desk, we will speak with all of our employees to make sure it does not happen again as it is standard policy to not eat at the front desk. Pros: great location- in the middle of little Italy. Surrounded by restaurants/food/drinks & desserts. Room sizes are good. Overall good spot. Cons: they do not have housekeeping daily. The parking they have available is $30 a night & apparently don’t allow all cars so double check to see if your car fits in the garage. Additional parking is extremely limited & was pricey. Cleanliness- was okay.

Both girls at front desk were rude. When checking in she told me completely dofferent amount than what I paid for rooms. They charge you $35 a night to park after paying over $300 a night for small room. They regulate the AC so you cant even control own room temp.

Hi Heather, We looked into your reservation and digital log of your check in process. Your card was only authorized for the 100 security deposit because your room was prepaid for through the third party website. There was a systematic error that initially showed the incorrect amount. Our front desk agents fixed the error so you would not be double charged for the room. We only charged your card 70 for the two nights of parking as stated on the printed receipt. If you see any additional charges from us please email us a copy of your charge so we can handle it directly. There is also a way to operate the AC from your room so we do apologize if that was miscommunicated.We hope you enjoyed your time in Little Italy.
