"Terrible experience. Hotel is in very bad shape. I was glad to leave. It seems that the owners have the property in a death spiral where they let the property deteriorate while still getting income from the one-and-done guests, cruise ship guests who can walk to the dock, airline staff contracts, the occasional conference, the the unlucky who happen by. Maybe the property is slated to be demolished or maybe their ground lease is expiring or maybe something else is going on that causes the owners not to put money into maintenance and updating. The list of problems is long but here are a few: In the sleeping room, the heating/cooling system would not react to the thermostat. The repair person came to reset it letting me know that it was very old, implied that they had been having multiple problems, and said to let them know when it happens again. The carpet was stained, the drapes were filthy, the chair arms were worn nearly through, the other furniture was old and worn, the shower door was missing a handle, the replacement faucet did not fit the sink. It was so short that you couldn’t fit your hands under the water to wash your hands, and more. The conference room gave me the feel of a dark dungeon, the audio system was very poor, so many of us could not hear the speakers, and the Wi-Fi did not work for the entirety of our conference. I plan to never stay at this property again. Also, about 130 to 150 days per year and I will now look to avoid any Wyndham flag."

"This is my hotel of choice when visiting San Diego. It is located on Shelter Island adjacent to Point Loma. It's close to the San Diego airport but not subject to the noise of the jet takeoffs and landings. However, during this visit I heard deafening noise from 4 military jets taking off in rapid sequence from the Naval Air Base on North Island across the bay from the hotel. I experienced this twice during my 2-day stay, but this had never occurred during previous visits to the hotel. I suspect these two very brief episodes were somehow related to the Iran war. So be aware and don't panic. Just cover your ears for a couple of minutes. Enjoy the restaurant & bar overlooking the marina. The food, beverages, and service are very good. If you like, you can exercise in the gym or relax in the pool or hot tub. Enjoy!"

"The room was tiny with the basics and modern amenities. We were put in room 202 directly across from the elevator. The sink was outside the bathroom. The one ceiling light over the sink was dim yellow light and off-center so it was difficult to see yourself clearly when getting ready. The mirror over the sink was the only mirror in the room… no full length mirror. So just hope for the best when you get dressed and leave. The bathroom had no ventilation and there were water and rust marks on the cover where I imagine a dehumidifier/fan should have been. So just imagine when you do number 2 or shower the only way to ventilate the room is to leave the bathroom door open and open the one window otherwise the room smells it is damp from humidity. Our bed was firm to hard and the pillows were small and provided no neck support even when stacked on top of each other. Sleep was painful and minimal. Air conditioning is mounted on the wall next to the bed and blows directly on you. There’s no way to escape that unless you turn it off or sit at the foot of the bed, or go into the bathroom, or stand behind the entrance door which is next to the sink. There is no guest parking so you park on the street where parking is limited. At 174 a night (including tax) I guess we were paying for the neighborhood, as Little Italy is a quaint lovely area with great dining and charming people. Hopefully the other rooms are better. It was our first time here so maybe just unlucky."

"The shuttle was quick and hotel nearby, we arrived after midnight, night staff was friendly. Our room was clean and comfortable with coffee. No breakfast however there is a restaurant in the lobby. It was a good place."
