I had no hot water in my room for four days. When I complained, a staff member made a joke about it, even after I explained I was traveling with an infant. There was also a bad smell coming from the bathroom, and the room phone didn’t work, so I had to keep going to the front desk, where my concerns were mostly ignored. On my last night, a cat entered my room and jumped on the bed, which triggered my asthma. I also found cockroaches in the room. The only positive was the bar staff, bartenders, and waitresses, who were kind and helpful. Unfortunately, the front desk staff did not care about my situation. I would not return."

"The lobby is very comfortable and impressive, the view in the ocean view room was fantastic but unfortunately does not set the tone for the property. It had been raining and there was so much water damage and leaking not only in my room but the restaurant as well. The whole hotel felt stuffy and humid. It's hard to believe that this is a new hotel, it's in shambles. The room furniture is minimal, the layout and lighting especially in the bathroom is very awkward and insufficient. The comforter in the bed was very comfortable but all the pillows were so high my neck started to hurt. Other reviews talked up the breakfast so much I was really looking forward to it. It was average at best. Also, we ate dinner at the hotel a few times and overall the food was mediocre. The staff was very polite and did the best they could but overall I can't recommend this hotel to anyone. I ended leaving the property early. Expedia was awful to deal with as they refused to give me a refund for the days I didn't stay at the hotel. Their excuse was that they couldn't reach anyone from the property, but how is that on me? They didn't even ask to see my pictures. I've used Expedia for over 20 years and I've never had an experience like this before. I'm very disappointed."
