Search Ryokan in Saint Helen's Island

"For starters, we did not have great expectations given the price and the reviews. But this was bottom of the barrel. Upon arrival, we looked for the parking that was promise with our booking, went to front desk to ask about the parking. I was greeted with attitude and dirty looks, then the man proceeded to tell me that the parking was full and we needed to pay $20 to park 2 streets down everytime we left the lot. That was a hassle on its own. When we arrived to the room, everything seemed to be in order, until we checked the bed and saw the sheets were not even on properly, the mattress cover was sticking out of the sheets and had a stain on it. We have to put on fresh sheets ourselves. We went to look for the bar and restaurant that was listed with the amenities, and it was fully closed for renovations which is not listed anywhere online or mentioned upon arrival. If you plan on staying here and you have low expectations, lower them. "

"This was a great hotel. A 5 min walk to the Metro (Orange line) which takes you right downtown Montreal. There’s a Walmart, Tim Hortons, Ardenes outlet, gas stations, and much more all within 2-10 mins away. Staff was awesome, beds were very comfortable. I brought my own pillow so can’t comment on that, husband said they were great. The only complaint was the 2 mile walk through the hotel to my room haha. You’ll get your steps in for sure. "

"The hotel is nice, the rooms and hallways are a but outdated bit clean and neat. The bathrooms are upgraded with nice toilettries and clean towels. The breakfast room is neat, the staff is super nice and the menu is generous and varied. More than what we expected honestly! The gym room is nice and modern, and the pool is super nice. The only thing we hated was the heat control! The room was super hot!! The controller is very old, we pulled the temp down to the minimum but the room stayed so hot! We slept with the windows open, which wasnt very convenient with the busy street downstairs, and the staff had to send us a fan but still we were not able to have a good sleep. Such a shame, if only this part was fixed, I would give them 5 stars overall!!"
