"@12.05 am on 4-29-2026 at the middle of the nite, fire alarm announcement , everyone got up a rushed to the stairs down, after 15 second the cancelled, my suggestion is if property is not confirmed the fire why should they announce in the middle of the nite, there are all ages of customers staying at the property . they all start coming down through the stairs from level 14th downward. it was very inconvenient for the guests."

"We were in a room that was on top of the Interstate.. We asked to switch to a parking lot room. We were not allowed to move unless we paid $40-$60 more. The Hotel wasn’t even 1/3 full. The Queen size mattress was sunk in the middle.. our sleep was poor for the 2 night stay. The pool was available but freezing cold. The breakfast was good."

"I have always respected the dignity and beauty of historic hotels, and finally got the chance to experience the Brown. The architecture of the public areas is magnificent. It is clean and well maintained. The food was extraordinary. Unfortunately, check-in is a sad introduction to the historic experience. The staff was polite and responsive, but the logistics were deplorable. Traffic jams were common at the front door, and anyone not using the valet was relegated to an alley side-entrance to the parking garage. Once parked, hotel guests are expected to cross the ally in an 2nd floor causeway to check-in at the desk. Then the guests are expected to take the elevator back down to the 1st floor to get a transfer cart, then go back up the elevator to the second floor, and back across the causeway to the parking garage, then back to the 2nd floor main lobby, to take the elevator to your room, then back down to the 1st floor to return the luggage cart, then back up the elevator to one's room. A historic venue of this caliber is damaged by the sad process of simply getting checked in. I've never seen such a distorted process."

"The housekeepers and checkin people were great. The room (521) had a squeaky door and faucet that was hard to deal with. The shower cap was coming off of the wall. The pool was filled with bugs. Mosquitoes across the top of the pool that weren’t cleaned and what looks like a spider at the bottom of the pool. We also had drunk neighbors that came back at 4am and after calling the operator they did send someone up around 4:40am to ask them to quiet down. And there was a cart in the hallway for three days for a repair if looks like they were thinking about doing to a room a couple down from us."

"Food service hours can be inconvenient. This includes purchasing a simple cup of coffee before 6:30 AM."
