"The Sonesta was attractive and the front desk staff very friendly and professional. Our beds and bathroom were clean but the carpet was stained and the wallpaper in the bath was buckling in one area. There were weeds outside in the landscape area. I guess deferred maintenance was the biggest problem. I would still stay there again."

"We brought our 3 daughters and their families to Grand Rapids and Michigan’s Adventure , we had 4 rooms and they did a fantastic job by making sure we were all on the same floor , the kiddos loved the pool and everyone loved the breakfast , the whole front desk staff was wonderful to us , we will be back "
"The room was just ok. The bed was very comfortable. The carpet was very dirty. Hated to walk on it without shoes. The bathtub did not drain very well. I removed hair and a small hair tie on my own, which should have been done prior to opening the room to someone. It still did not drain properly. The bathtub itself also could have been scrubbed better. It had a dirt ring. I did like the size of the room for four of us (two adults, two kids). The refrigerator and microwave were clean and worked well. We had a seven and a nine year old with us, so they did not care that the pool water was extremely cool. However, my husband and I could not stay in it long enough to enjoy it. The pool room itself was warm but the water was so cold. Also, the window in our room (301) was so dirty. All of the staff were very friendly. The breakfast was adequate. For being included, I should not complain, but the hot items were not very hot. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and the hotel was very conveniently located for us."
"Passing through while on a road trip, so our stay was short, and a place to rest our heads.
Our only concern was that after driving for 12+ hours, all we wanted to do was check in, shower, and sleep. Unfortunately, we were delayed because the receptionist was locked out of her system. The receptionist told me I would have to return until the person on the next shift arrived, since she couldn’t get in.
This was a significant inconvenience since we were tired and wanted to check in. We were able to check in close to or past midnight, which took about 30 minutes while we were waiting.
Maybe its a best practice if there is a manager or someone of authority to be available at all times to resolve this type of concern and delay in a guests stay.
Other than that the room, was clean, Nice, and wonderful. They also offered complimentary breakfast.
FYI, this is a college town so, be ready to see and hear college kids while walking around the neighborhood.
Parking was extra, but luckily we found street parking and we saved the $50 that we would Have spent on parking."

"Only 2 complaints are that the door to the bathroom was a pocket door which stuck/was off the track. Made for more than a few moments of feeling trapped. Additionally, there wasn’t a closet but an assigned area in the bathroom corner. Other than that, it was a great stay. Kitchen was terrific. "
