"Great location and friendly staff. Some of the decor could do with updating and the shower was unusually complex to use. Overall, a lovely place to stay, and I would recommend."

Really lovely B&B, very friendly and welcoming hosts.
The rooms are very comfortable with everything you could need. It was unfortunately raining and misty when we were there but the surroundings are lovely and the perfect place to enjoy a rainy afternoon!
Delicious food - would definitely recommend.

For accommodation with only 4 rooms this hotel offers every facility that ten plus room establishments do.
We stayed in the annex and I was not only impressed with the standard of the room finish but also the added extras , like bone china cups, bottled water and slippers provided.
The food was all freshly prepared and made to order by the in house chef and every dish was cooked to perfection.

Beautiful hotel in beautiful location. The attention to detail was fantastic far more than expected. The team at the Hideaway go above and beyond to make sure your stay is memorable. We had a wonderful weekend.

We stayed in this lovely guest house for two nights as we were attending a family funeral. We arrived at about 3pm on the first day and were greeted by a lovely lady who explained where everything was and showed us to our room. We had a king room which was absolutely huge, with a massive, very comfortable bed, a large and comfy sofa, a large bathroom with an excellent shower and a really big TV on a rotating wall bracket (to make it watchable from anywhere in the room). This was a last minute booking for us, as we were menat to be camping in Keswick, but after the recent storms we were told the campsite was flooded and choose to stay at the Regent in Ambleside instead and managed to book the last room availiable. We normally opt for 4 star hotels and despite the Regent being a 3 star we were not disappointed and in fact we thought it was one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. After a long day walking, checking into The Churchill was quick. Great parking, near to pubs and restaurants and a great bar. Service was good and breakfast was excellent. Spacious room, clean and comfortable. Really good value for money. Would definitely stay again.

The Angel Inn has a fantastic location-with lots to do & see in Bowness within minutes walk, and easy access to the excellent 599/555 bus service to explore the rest of the South Lakes.
The staff were all really friendly & helpful.
The breakfast was great, with a lot of options.

We stayed for 3 nights and wished we could have stayed longer. For us the location was perfect, we enjoyed the walk to the lake and into town, which took about 25 minutes through the lovely gardens of the hotel. We were enchanted by the garden and were lucky enough to look out over them from our room. The staff were very attentive and the facilities were excellent. The only downside is that there is no lift so if you can't do stairs you would need to request a downstairs room.

A lovely guest house. Staff friendly, polite and always helpful. Our room in The Hideaway was clean and modern. The bed was a bit harder than we’d like. We would love to go back and have no hesitation in recommending this guest house.

This hotel was fantastic, excellent position with a short walk to a few local shops and pubs, fantastic scenery and very close to the many of the Lake District favourites.

We had the most enjoyable 5 days at the hotel, the staff were very accommodating, the breakfast was wonderful as was the evening meal my only preference would be an-alternative evening menu occasionally
