"Lovely room, good breakfast, and pleasant staff."

"Breakfast buffet food was cool and coffee urn was empty. They did make more coffee, so it was very fresh. These were minor annoyances. What was really disturbing was the housekeeper's loud talking outside our room sometime before 8 a.m. She woke my husband and me. When I asked her to be quiet, she gave me a nasty look and mumbled domething in another language that I did not understand. "

"Hotel was perfect. Great location and very friendly staff. We checked in and asked for a view of the mountains and our view from the room was perfect. The property was so clean and the lobby area large and welcoming. The backyard area was charming with tables and lighting. Overall an A+ experience for a stayover going home. Also the hotel has endless dining opportunities, some within walking distance. Many national chains to chose from."

"The staff are genuinely friendly, parking is easy, and the location offers quick access from the highway. It’s also perfectly situated near plenty of eateries and conveniences, which makes the overall experience even better."

"We stayed for one night at Skyland in the Shenandoah National Park on a recent visit to Virginia. We booked a ‘Traditional Room with 2 Queen beds’. The room was lodge style with a small terrace. Check-in was easy and we were able to park outside our room. The amenities and the room are basic and ‘tired’, but as expected. The beds were comfortable but the quality of the bedding was best described as ‘old’. The room had a musty smell but appeared clean. Although there was wifi it wasn’t really usable. We had breakfast in the restaurant which was reasonably priced. The hotel, although basic and not cheap, is in a great location. We enjoyed walking the Stony Man route to watch a beautiful sunset and then hiking a few other routes to enjoy the beauty of the National Park. "
