Punta Nizuc Trip

Very much a family only resort. But the pools and ocean access are amazing. Food was great. Staff at the pool did an amazing job. You can't get a drink after 11pm anywhere on the resort. The restaurants are good. Service was fast for food. Drinks there were line ups.

This place is amazing, staff are polite and very attentive. Was sad they didn't start the fire more often by the beach but still an amazing place. Rooms are cleaned everyday.

I want to make it clear that my rating has nothing to do with the staff & location of the resort- both were wonderful. However, when booking an adults only, the expectation is that it is adults only. Unfortunately, most of the amenities were on the attached family resort. For example: Swim up bar- family pool Dj & dancers - family pool A la cate dinners & buffet- family resort Smoking area- family pool Glow stick party at nignt- family resort Foam party- family pool Beach DJ party- family side Another issue I noticed was that my wifi didnt work in my room unless by the window and didnt work at the beach. Im not saying that the family side shouldnt have those things, I am just mentioning these things so folks who are expecting adults only, understand that isnt the case and I am just speaking from my experience and expectation. The location was lovely, the beachfront was amazing, the staff and food were great, it was clean and the lunch buffet poolside was definitely a plus!

Awesome view, staff were very accommodating. Sunrise every morning right on beach,only problem was the Sargassum!

We have stayed at several all inclusive resorts in the Cancun area. We are a family with elementary aged kids that like activities. We were excited to visit Ava. We loved the room. It was kept very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The food at every restaurant was good and the drinks were also very good. The staff was attentive and fairly quick, everywhere.We also liked the unique activities, like “minute to win it” at digit bar, water aerobics, the obstacle course in the main pool, and many others. We were disappointed that we had to pay extra for some of the activities, like bowling, the arcade and laser tag but we tried them and we really enjoyed them. The biggest disappointment was for our girls because the kids club was not what we were expecting. The schedule was not flexible and had the kids outside all morning. It seems fine, but did not allow a break from the sun for the kids. They were not permitted to choose activities like past resorts. You either did what was on the schedule or not. Their trampolines were broken during our entire 6 day stay. And there were no toys to play with, just the indoor playground. They did enjoy the art class each day. But that was for one hour and we had to wake up early to sign up for it. The hardest part for parents is the 2 hour “family hour” everyday. It is supposed to be a time for families to come in and play with their kids. But in reality, no one wants to sit and watch their kids play at a kids club. It was empty.
