"The hotel is located next to an abandoned resort, so my balcony overlooked an abandoned field. The food is really horrible. I was here for five days and didn’t feel like I got a decent meal not one time. The Expedia description of sea dust resort claims there’s 11 restaurants I didn’t see more than 5 at most. They say all inclusive resort but really they have different packages and apparently one includes a certain restaurant. That the normal package doesn’t include so basically if you think getting the all-inclusive package allows you access to everything you’re wrong. They have a huge restaurant that looks really good that only special members can go to.
Upon checking in, I was not greeted with a drink like most resorts. I was also not explained anything about the resort. They literally gave me my room number put a wristband on, and I was supposed to figure everything out on my own. You have to make the reservations for the restaurant in person there’s nowhere online to do it. They will hassle you for tips.
Some pros of the resort were that the beach is really pretty. They have a decent pool area. The location of the resort is pretty convenient if you want to go clubbing in town. "
"We had 3 days in Cancun. We didn’t want to go too far down the the hotel strip. This hotel was about 20 minutes from the airport. The hotel was exactly what we were looking for. The room was very spacious. We had an ocean view which was a nice surprise. The staff, restaurants, market, and beach were all great. Made it possible to have a great relaxing 3 days in Cancun without having to leave the hotel. "
"We had a garden view and the ocean was still visible. The ocean was not very pretty this time of year (lots of seaweed in March) but the pools make up for it ! Poolside service was just okay but Dario at the Gondola restaurant made every breakfast special for my family of 12!! The housekeeping staff is friendly and so are the room service staff! We loved being able to schedule milk to be delivered to the room in the mornings for our baby. Overall we loved the resort and would definitely return! Momo (hibachi and regular side) are amazing for dinners!"
"I went just before the spring break crowd and it was a very cool spot for our group. The branch bar was the spot and all the activities was a nice plus.
One problem we had was we booked three rooms with double beds and the hotel tried to put us in a making room.
Us 30s guys trip for a bachelor party was not going to sleep in the same bed nor were we going to let someone sleep in cot or whatever they had.
So for us, it was just the check-in process that was probably the only negative. I just think it could’ve gone better."
