"Stayed here on our last night to be close to the airport, and it worked out great! Shuttle was quick and reliable."

"Superior room disappointing. No double bed just two singles pushed together. Shower did not regulate temperature and shower head fixing ineffective. Executive lounge 'nibbles and drinks' poor and very disappointing. Sunbeds in pool area need to be monitored to stop guests putting towels down and disappearing for hours! Sadly location very poor. Neighbourhood rundown and unsafe."

"The Astor was a wonderful boutique style hotel set in the heart of Athens! It was in walking distance of many great restaurants and places to souvenir shop or regular shop. The staff was very attentive! The restaurant at the top had an AMAZING view of The Acropolis and the ambience was nice as well! They had a buffet breakfast every morning and the restaurant served finger foods and drinks in the later hours! The hotel was also convenient for pick up for a few of our excursions. One thing to know is that hotel rooms here are on the smaller side however, if you’re vacationing in Greece you’re really only using it to sleep. Beds were comfortable and it was very quiet in the hotel at night the city below is lively though. Thank you to everyone who works at the Astor for a wonderful experience!"

"It isn't often I feel compelled or comfortable to add a tip to my final hotel bill for the staff, but this was one of those rare times. The hotel is situated in a busy area but provides a sanctuary of calm and efficiency. Everything is pristine from the outside to the rooms and beyond. Attention to detail is apparent and there is an evident pride in service the staff prove. Their warm welcome fills you with confidence from the moment you arrive that you've chosen well. The rooms are well maintained, spacious and clean with all you'd need. Gym, sauna and massage services are second to none. The rooftop bar and small eatery are perfect for that late evening to enjoy the view of the Acropolis. Breakfast is in the price and has a great selection too. You won't regret chosing this hotel."

"Overall great hotel and wonderful lobby and friendly staff. Sitting on rooftop having breakfast with view of acropolis was amazing. The breakfast itself was plentiful and varied, but refilling could have been a bit quicker. Imagine it would be extremely busy at peak times (we went off peak) and not so pleasant. The staff were all friendly though. Good location about 15 min walk into tourist city centre, and 5 min walk from metro. They stored our luggage for us on the last day which was very helpful. We had a deluxe room which had a huge queen bed. The view was of a derelict building, and the bathroom was clean but small, which was a slight let down. Wonderful touch from hotel who left an anniversary cake in our room which was one of the best chocolate cakes I have eaten!"
