As a VIP, I was sadly given a room on the 3rd floor with a disgusting view. This room has no daylight. The room felt more like a prison cell than a hotel room. I had a very unpleasant stay at this hotel because I could not rest in my room during the day. The room is dark and pretty sad. I requested a different room but was told none was available. The building is over 10 floors. My room on the third floor is located in the interior of the building. The window is tiny and because it is on the third floor of a 10 floor building and faced interior yard of a boxy building, it receives no daylight.. At 9am in the morning when the sun way way high in the sky, the room is dark because the only small window faced old inner building. The view is disgusting. Very disapointing that Expedia calls this a VIP room For a VIP room, this was a joke

The front desk went above and beyond. Great location. Nice walk to Acropolis. Bars and restaurants are nearby. The breakfast buffet was great. The room was very clean.

I chose this hotel mostly because of the previous high ratings and references to the location. Both of which I would dispute. There is a metro right outside, however if you are visiting for a few days, you do not need it, as all the main sites are within walking distance. Overall, I would choose another hotel to stay at when we next visit Athens. Somewhere closer to the center and located on a quieter location. This hotel is on a very busy road.
