"Clean and comfortable - what more do you want. Good food on site so you don't need to go out if you don't want. Ideal location for exploring this part of Northumberland with the coast, Bamburgh, Alnwick, Berwick etc fairly close. Easy to find, being right on the A1, but traffic noise was minimal and not a problem. I'll definitely stay here again when I'm in the area."

"Bacon on breakfast was burnt, so had the eggs the next day. Would not recommend the cooked breakfast, another customer on next table complained his beans were cold. Think the breakfast is cooked and then maybe stands on the side and goes cold. The juice was lovely from continental selection and eggs benedict were lovely "

"The room was cosy clean and had everything you need to stay for a couple of days. We just struggled with the lighting , switches very strange ! No light over the tea making table so rather dark and had to use a torch."

"Property is well located and beds are comfy. It was very cold in the property when we arrived as the thermostat had been turned to 10 degrees and there were no matches to light the fire. The whole property felt like it needed a bit of a refresh.....walls marked, some mirrors cracked, doors & handles chipped, kitchen equipment mismatched and well used, some kitchen equipment broken, dining room chair broken and not usable. The shower has a slanted roof so not ideal as you have to duck to prevent hitting your head. We've stayed in a lot nicer properries in northumberland before and for less. The property managers are not very responsive either."
