"The Locke is a lovely place to stay. The neighbourhood is conveniently located a few steps away from Marques de Pombal Metro, allowing easy acess to all areas of Lisbon. The property itself is delightful and I opted for one of the more budget friendly rooms in building D, which although located in the basement it is bright and airy due to the large windows at street level...anyhow I wasn't about to spend much time in my room when there's an entire city to explore. That being said the Locke de Santa Joana drips history while at the same time featuring all the mod cons we humans expect. Also, don't forget to make a reservation at the restaurant in the courtyard of the former 17th century convent..the Santa Marta...outstanding food and outstanding people who work there."
