"Nice common areas, breakfast was good"

"I would not recommend staying at the Hillsboro Beach Resort by Kasa. The room was not clean at all. Even after washing my socks, they became stained from how dirty the floors were. The kitchenette area was full of what staff referred to as “sugar ants”—we couldn’t leave any food out because they would immediately get into it. At one point, they were even crawling up the walls. To make matters worse, one of the chairs had a broken leg. My husband nearly fell and could have been seriously hurt if he hadn’t caught himself in time. Overall, this was a very disappointing and uncomfortable stay. The cleanliness and maintenance standards need serious improvement. Good thing the staff was friendly."

"We stayed 5 hours. Checked in and then checked out 5 hours later. Adult building 2 bedroom accommodation - feet were black from dirty floor, toilet paper dispenser was broken so toilet paper roll kept falling on the floor. No one fixed it after we showed housekeeper the problem and were told they would fix it. TV remote didnt work and no one fixed it when they said they would. Most disappointing was the security. Our bolt lock didnt block anyone from coming into our room with the code. I understand the code is the same code for anyone occupying that room. So the previous occupants, could come back if they wanted. I tested the dead bolt lock only to learn that anyone having the code can access the room even with the dead bolt lock engaged. Lastly, anyone from the street can come to my room door and knock. No security as anyone can access the hotel!!! I felt very unsafe and checked out but was charged for one night stay which I am going to fight for a refund. I simply checked in, left, came back, used the toilet, and left when I felt unsecure. I didnt use the bed or shower. If the room was secure, I would have tolerated the dirty floor and asked them to wet mop it. And I would have made sure they fixed the toilet paper dispenser and tv remote. I had to find another hotel at 10:30PM so was charged for the new hotel and this one. WRONG!!!!"

"Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend purchasing the parking plus breakfast add on, it was a $40 value for only $25 and the breakfast was good. Room was large and clean. Overall nice moderately priced hotel."
