I emailed before we arrived that our flight to Mauritius was arriving at 0600.We arrived at 0730 to be greeted by Vic, the service relations manager with coffee and breakfast, she told us our room was not available until 1400 but she had made another room available for us to sleep and shower in after our overnight flight. My wife and I had a great time on this visit to Mauritius because we stayed in an apartment that was clean, comfortable and the owners were both very good at dealing with things promptly. The public beach at Mon Chosie is about 5mins walking and we did not find it a problem and we are both over 60years. We went for knowing we wanted a lazy holiday. Our aim was to spend as much time on a sun lounger as possible and I think we managed pretty well. The hotel is beautiful, the staff are SO helpful and we possible the best massages in the Spa we've ever had. We explored the 2 towns close to the resort; Port Louis seemed to be more of a day time excursion, the markets are great and its def worth a visit, but beware of getting hassled (its pretty much the opposite of been in the hotel). We had a lovely day Good Life ego Lodge. This is a small boutique hotel in a quiet area of Cap Malhereux. It is within two minutes walk of the red roof church Notre-Dame Auxiliatrice. We use the buses to travel along the north coast and visited all the beautiful beaches. The bus stop is only a few minutes away. The rooms are quite compact, but it was big enough for us. Had an amazing time staying 1min away from the beach, being able to relax every day and enjoy the natural beauty the country has to offer. The staff, location, accommodation and everything Le Sakoa has, are all that made our trip excellent.

Having travelled a lot for business and pleasure, I have to say this was the best experience ever. Nothing could be faulted . Location, staff and facilities were top notch. The menu was varied even for a veggie like me. And there was even some entertainment every evening

One of the best hotels I've ever been to. Perfect for a romantic or relaxed break. Food is excellent - both buffet and a la carte restaurants. Plenty of water sports to do (free of charge) or tours to other areas of the island.

Go for a sea view room, the others didn't have much of a view. All the hotel staff were friendly and helpful from the manager to the groundsman. Clean and well appointed self-catering facilities. Really need a car as not much around locally. The best place to eat locally is Kiosque Magique abut half way along the beach, unfortunately it's only open during the day not in the evening.

In this price bracket it doesn’t get better than places like this. the gardens are beautiful, the pool large enough and very clean, the staff are quick to respond and very charming and the rooms are fun/ quirky! i recommend any room with a balcony. really fabulous place.

A really gorgeous resort based in the North of the island. I went with my partner for a romantic holiday and it was lovely place to relax and unwind. The team can't do enough for you and really looked after us. Make sure you pay for the All Inclusive package as it's well worth it - aside from the buffet, all restaurants are Ala Carte and although not everything is included without a supplement, we found there was enough to choose from. My husband and I stayed here for 7 nights in December. Excellent service and a great place to relax and have a break. Their top priority is your comfort and the staff are extremely polite and professional and do everything they can to ensure you have a comfortable stay. They do not say no to anything you ask for!!
