Disappointing Experience at Hyatt Zilara I recently stayed at the Hyatt Zilara, expecting a VIP experience for my husband's 65th birthday celebration. Unfortunately, our experience fell far short of expectations. Communication and Special Requests: Despite indicating the purpose of our vacation was to celebrate my husband's milestone birthday, the concierge, Yana, provided little assistance. Upon arrival, she informed us that special dinners on the beach were only available on Saturdays, completely disregarding our request for Monday. Yana's lack of effort in finding alternative options was disappointing. Food Quality and Options: The food at the resort was subpar, to say the least. The buffet offerings were lackluster, with reheated dishes lacking flavor. My husband even suffered from food poisoning after consuming seafood at the beach club. The limited restaurant options and the practice of reheating food for multiple days in a row left much to be desired. Room Upgrade and Billing Issues: To add to the disappointment, I had paid for a room upgrade, only to find out that the room was not ready until two days after our arrival. Despite canceling the upgrade within the allotted 24-hour window, my card was still charged. This lack of attention to detail and billing accuracy is unacceptable. Overall Impression: While some staff members were friendly, the overall experience at Hyatt Zilara was a letdown. The resort fails to deliver on its promises of VIP treatment and qualit

Property was nice and small. Most of the staff was very friendly. Money certainly talks though. Most all inclusive resorts I have been to take tips and are very grateful for them, but I found many bartenders would only serve you with money in hand. Most of the food and restaurants were good. Plenty of options so everyone can enjoy. Rooms were beautiful and clean. It’s sleepy compared to most resorts, but that’s fine with us as we usually turn in earlier than the normal crowd.

Fyi We have been to Cancun and this area over 15 times... This hotel pushed their timeshare program from the moment we arrived. When we said we weren't interested, we were harrassed by their night manager. It was insane. Unless you want to be forced into buying something you font want, do not go here.

The resort was great also was the staff,the maid service was excellent. Now unfortunately the bad news, the Italian restaurant was the best of all, Loli was terrible, great service but lously food. Drinks were just OK but being free I guess you can't complain. The buffet restaurant items looked good but lacked flavor. Breakfast buffet was alright and the person making omlettes was good. I'll give a nine on the resort, but only a five on the food.

Fantastic resort. Very nice. Not too big or too small. We had a swim up room which was large and very nice. The pool area is excellent. The beach is wonderful. We walked about a mile or so up and down the beach from the Zilara. No other resort had a beach that even comes close to Zilara’s. Service, amenities, location, cleanliness were all excellent. Additional food options would be welcomed. The quality of food needs improvement.

Check in was smooth we were upgraded to an ocean view swim up pool room, which was nice. However, the food was disappointing and also the lack of tropical color, everything was green no flowers. Staff were very friendly and accommodating.

Overall, this was an excellent place to stay! Did not enjoy the push to go to the sales pitch at another resort. We said no, and were still bothered about it. I understand it’s business, but if I want to spend money on a timeshare or wtvr, I can make that decision myself. I did not come here to get pitched business proposals, especially after traveling all day and just trying to get to our room Beautiful location, beach is super clean, nice facility. We found there were plenty of things to do. Food options were pretty good. The best thing about this resort was the staff. They treat you with such respect and they are very sincere. They really are hard-working and kind people.

We were offered a free room upgrade for travelling as Expedia guests and treated to a special romantic dinner as well. It’s a small resort which makes it feel much more intimate. The resort has one big pool but we stayed on the beach the whole trip because of how beautiful it was. We didn’t eat much at the buffet but the restaurants were phenomenal! If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway and great service, stay here!
