The Barrymore Hotel Tampa Riverwalk

"Basic with a not very comfortable room, old carpet with a smell, no room service every day and an insanely expensive price during conferences. Not recommended"

"Beside the fact that half of the hotel was in construction, we had to wait until 4pm (check in time) to get the room key. Having the construction going on, I was expecting a little more service-oriented approach to the customer. Hotel didn't look fully booked at all. Breakfast was really a joke (coffee, fridge with drinks and sandwich) and the rooms way overdated (definitively a renovation needed). We booked 4 people in a 2 queen bed room, but only had 2 towels and the 1 old sink... again, definitively a renovation needed. Hotel location is very good, too bad the current service and uncomfortable renovation happening. Not a 4* level and way overpriced in my opinion."

"We were pleasantly surprised when we opened the door to our room. It appeared to be brand new, and the full size appliances ;including washer and dryer) were very good quality. Bathroom and shower were spacious, and the clever design of the bed raising up to the ceiling to open the living room floor space with sofa and coffee table was brilliant! Location was perfect and allowed us to easily walk to the Benchmark Arena, River Walk, and the free trolly we eventually learned about. The only negative was the high price to park ($35/day). Parking lots seemed to be cheaper….. Other than that, we had an excellent stay!"

"Beautiful hotel. Very clean with a courteous staff. Within walking distance to downtown Tampa. (Appx 1 mile) Would definitely recommend and would stay again , if needed. Only con, parking is very expensive and for the price of the room it should be included or A LOT less."

"Good location if your intention is exploring all Tampa and not just the beach. At night might not recommend walking around though… on Sunday was very desolated. The rooms are spacious and clean, no issue there. The pool was inviting. On our last day (Monday) they starting packing breakfast about 30 min before the said time… so that’s was a bit disappointing. Maybe it’s shorter during weekdays? Overall, good option and worked for us"
