"Our room was lovely, with a balcony looking out over Magdalen College. The location is fabulous, close to the Covered Market, Sheldonian Theater, and so much more. Would recommend a cab from the train station, as it's a haul up the hill. The bar made fantastic cocktails (unusual in these parts). Dinner was very good. Overall, would recommend for location, service, and cleanliness. "

The room is not designed great, being narrow/constricted, the desk is narrow, the sitting area table is tiny, and the window does not open. The bathroom is poorly designed, so that you must open and close a large, heavy door in order to access the towel rack, and the shower is narrow and inflexible. All of these issues are manageable, and all of the problems with the hotel are due to the poor design of the rooms."
