"We really enjoyed our stay at Larnach Lodge. The castle and grounds are so beautiful. We stayed in the Scottish room and the balcony was a big plus overlooking the beautiful trees and water. A nice breakfast in the stables was included in our stay as well as a tour of the castle. Do not miss the 4 course dinner. The food was amazing and you get to eat in a real castle!"

"Beautiful room, and great service; Trish made us feel like family! Best stay in New Zealand!"

"This was a wonderful stay with great views of the bay. The house had plenty of room for the 5 of us. Great kitchen for cooking dinner, with nice table with room for all of us. The living room had nice large TV screen, but also great views overlooking the bay and Dunedin. Spent two nights, but could have easily spent more."

"Great stay Superb amenities including washer and dryer in room very convenient to catch up on washing during travel Extra special touches in room weren’t in noticed and was very appreciated"

"Spacious quiet room, great breakfast in the morning"

"This is one of my favourite hotels in the country. Highly recommend staying here. I also recommend the Press Club to dine. Excellent food and great wine list."

"Great staff and very comfortable beds"

"The location was so convenient. I booked 2 x single beds but got 1 x queen bed, which was quite annoying, but the hotel was clean and the amenities were good."
