We really enjoyed our stay at Larnach Lodge. The castle and grounds are so beautiful. We stayed in the Scottish room and the balcony was a big plus overlooking the beautiful trees and water. A nice breakfast in the stables was included in our stay as well as a tour of the castle. Do not miss the 4 course dinner. The food was amazing and you get to eat in a real castle!

You know we only planned on being there for one night, the first night was wonderful that we booked a 2nd and wish we had more time to stay there. The woman that checked us in was one of the best parts, she was so helpful I wish I could remember her name.. We did not do the 4 corse dinner but the other food we had was so good I regret not going for it. It was raining the first night and was nice and sunny the 2nd visiting in mid September I can’t say enough about our stay, and will be back as soon as we are able.

We had a wonderful couple of days here and would definitely go back again. The ballroom Cafe was lovely with great food and atmosphere and the 5 course meal in the castle was amazing.

There was nothing about this property i did not like. Everything was excellent, the food, the staff, the grounds the views. It was the best place we stayed on our trip. The tour guide was so knowledgeable and the history about the place and New Zealand was excellent.

Superb experience all around- kindest and most helpful staff (Barbara at check-in was fantastic!), gorgeous room with breathtaking views, spectacular gardens, excellent tour with Carol at the castle, most delicious made-to-order and buffet breakfast! We loved it so much we didn’t want to leave! Highly recommended to anyone seeking to spend time at a very special place in New Zealand!

This place is awesome to vist/stay. We were in the stable accommodation which does have a low roof on one side of the room but we knew this when booking. Nothing is too much for the staff, they are outstanding to deal with. Great breakfast provided in the mornings and you can book to have the evening meal in the castle-costs extra. The castle and grounds are just so wonderful. This is a place you really need to see.

Our room in the Lodge had amazing views and a beautiful bathroom and great size. The staff were so lovely and helpful. We loved looking around the grounds well looked after beautiful views. The Castle was my highlight will definitely be back again.

Wonderful place to stay if visiting albatross sanctuary or just for the experience of staying at the castle. We stayed in a lodge with a sea view . Decor was in-keeping with the castle and beds were comfortable. We had a tour of the castle included in our nightly rate which was interesting and before check-in we ate in the cafe where the food was delicious. The staff were friendly and welcoming Highly recommend.
