Great location with everything you need
We stayed here for 3 nights and found the communication to be excellent as we checked in late so had instructions as to how to enter. All very clear. The room was nice, a little tight for two people, but we made it work. There was hairs in the bed and bathroom, which were quite obvious, so maybe a little more attention to detail would make a better first impression. It was however, very clean otherwise with all the amenities you would need. The kitchen is well stocked and we were able to cook as there is a hob and oven. Lovely place and would come back.

Liked: Location: a few minutes to the closest tram stop or 15 minutes to the royal palace and 20 to the central station /main shopping area. Check in service: great. The lady checked us in was lovely and allowed us to check in 1.5 hours early than the official 3pm check in time. Room: beautiful decorated. A well equipped kitchen (tho the only thing we used was the kettle). The beds are conformable. The building: beautiful old ish building, wide corridor and centre lounge room. Didn't like: Leaking shower: water leaked from the shower and flooded half of the bathroom floor after we had shower. The housekeeping people came to have a look and cleaned the drain of the shower. We thought it was fixed. The next morning, water leaked again. It actually came out underneath the glass panels which are not sealed with 0.5cm gap between the glass panels and the floor. No daily housekeeping service: on the first morning, we were given fresh towers before we left the room to go out. When we came back in late afternoon, the room was not cleaned. On the next day, we came back to the room in late afternoon and found out the room was not cleaned, again. It was no point to complain as we were leaving the next morning. Otherwise, I would've given 5 star if not the above issues. overall it is a nice hotel.

Re cleaning of the apartment - since this is an apartment hotel - we do not clean the apartment during the stay. We have utility rooms where our guests are welcome to lend vacuumer etc. For stay over seven days, we change bedlinen/towels on a weekly basis - as informed in the hotels.com/expedia.com site. For our guests that would like the apartment cleanded - we're happy to offer this for an extra fee. We hope to see you again. Kind rgds

It was nice, very spacious and clean with a complete kitchen in a quiet neighborhood. It was a little bit far walk from the main train station. However, the trams just down the street. There are supermarkets nearby but not enough food options around the area.

A beautiful, spacious apartment, centrally located, close to public transport and bars / restaurants. Parking was expensive. The only problems were technical. Confusing light switches and an initially non functioning hob. Recommended.

This was an excellent place to stay. The only problem I encountered was to get checked in you have to call a number and I don't have coverage in the area. This is my problem not the hotels and it was a great place.

Good accommodation, good location.
The accommodation was good. It had everything you need and our top floor room had nice views. The lift was a bit noisy which was not great. However, that was the only down side to a very pleasant stay. I would definitely stay again.

The Sweet private apartment was a great stay for the 5 nights we spent in Oslo. It was really nice & saved a lot of money for us to have our own kitchen! In regard to the kitchen, there is a small stove top, mini fridge and dishwasher. There was also dish-ware available for use. The bathrooms were nice and had a few toiletries provided (shampoo, shower gel) and the apartment was up to date and stylish. You have the ability to control your room temperature and I think the bathroom floor was even heated :) the thermostat wasn’t in English so it may be worth translating to figure out the different settings. A few areas of improvement or why I’d rate this apartment a 4/5 stars is: our dishes were dirty in our apartment, there was a small amount of dish soap left for us to use so we had to buy our own, 1 towel per week-per person is supplied, the floors and walls are a bit thin so you can hear outside activity (nothing extreme), water tends to get outside of the shower onto the floor & although there is free laundry (bring your own detergent or Tide pods)- there is only one washer and dryer so you may have to wait sometime. The staff were very helpful & kind, I would recommend meeting guests at the front door upon check in to help ease confusion. The apartment is conveniently located near a lot of shops, restaurants, a pharmacy & a grocery store. About a 20 min walk will get you closer to more touristy/city areas. Overall, it is a very nice place and I would recommend it. Thanks!!

The apartment was clean, well stocked for two, on a reasonably quiet street close to both tram and bus routes. Also an easy walk to the city centre, about 20 pleasant minutes. The bed was very soft, which people either like or not. The fire alarm is very sensitive which made us a little nervous to cook. The ensuite was separated by an opaque glass screen but the door was not designed to close firmly. We found this a little intinidating and we've been together over 40 years! There was a handy 7/11 store and local eateries. We would recommend the apartment.

The Englesson bed is special made for hotels, and as you say - some like it soft and som hard. When the owner did the renovation the bathroom and kitchen had to "stand out" as a new element - as the building is a Grade A historic building from 1916. We do understand that the opaque glass door can be a "not so private" issue, but that's what they could build. Good to hear that you liked the area. We wish you the best for the next 40 as well. The location is amazing very central and in a lovely area. It’s nicely decorated and well equipped. However we had a bad experience as the 3 apartments we booked were allocated in the basement that we didn’t know about and there was no mention of it in the sweet apartment website nor in Expedia. That would not be a problem had there been an AC working specially in August or a window that you can open to get some fresh air. To be precise the view of the windows and opening is half to the drains and half to the road which makes it unhealthy and in my opinion not fit for accommodation let alone a holiday that have been booked 5 months in advance.

Thank you very much for your sincere review to us. We are happy to hear that you liked the area and the layout of the apartments. As we told you during your stay we are using the whole building for apartments and some guests will then stay at the garden level. These apartments are equipped as all other apartments, and have the same amenities. There are 8 apartment at this level and as for rest of the building the layout is different here as well, as you saw with the 3 apartments you had. Some have windows at the side and the back of the building - and others to the window well. All apartments are approved as a residential apartment with all local and state laws included. The apartments do have ventilation systems to circulate air accordingly to the law. We are sorry that you did not like the apartment and as we were fully booked, we could not move you to another apartment. We did give the possibility to cancel the last night as a solution for the situation. All in all, we do hope you had a nice stay in Oslo and that you had a safe trip onward. Oslo Hotel False advertising-refused to help us, refused to give us a refund We had a very negative experience at this property. The manager asked us to call her 3 times to confirm out arrival (when our train departed, when our taxi picked us up at the train station, and when we arrived at the property). As instructed, we called the manager once we arrived at the property and waited. When she finally came, she was in a hurry, dropped off our keys, told us where the elevator was, and said she had to run to another building. We found our way to the room only to discover it was in the basement room with bars on the windows! We called to request a different room since our room was not advertised as basement or garden level. She responded “no” because the the computer was turned off for the evening (it was 7 PM). We asked to speak to someone else who could help us. She said there was no one else. We asked what they do in an emergency, and she did not have an answer for that. So we had to find another place to stay. The manager working the following day returned our call He gave us a refund for 1, out of 3 nights. We should have been fully refunded since they did not advertise the room as a basement or garden room.

Because I have had a couple of bad experiences connected to this property, that is being accused of things I DID NOT do at all, which is something I did not experience at the Anker Hotel where I had been staying during my previous trips to Oslo, I became far too traumatised to stay there any more, so I had to cut my intended four-stay short by two days and go home. My advice is to go to a real hotel, there is something quite dodgy about this one

With regards to your stay the guests in the apartment next to you called us, Securitas and the Police as you had your music very loud during the night and morning. They had a child that could not sleep due to your music. As the police got it sorted out with you at early morning, we had no more dialogue in this matter. We are sorry that you feel that it was something else and decided to leave. Our property might not have been what you were looking for and used to stay at. Perfect Hideaway
Bright and shiny new, everything you need in a stylish space. Walking distance to the palace and park with plenty of places to eat nearby. Oslo is so small you can actually walk to most of the other sites easily as well.

Here you will find many shops, restaurants, bars, coffeshops and also the Royal Castle near by. Welcome back to Oslo and us. Team The APARTMENTS company
