"Excellent in most ways but just failing in one key area: the sunbeds which are, after all, used for many hours a day, are far too taut and require, for any comfort for over 15 minutes, a mattress as they have in some of the beds in their sister hotel, 10 minutes' walk away This is such a pity, as so much else is nice about the hotel. It could also do with a wider range of pillows for the room beds, which are memory foam and therefore not the most comfortable. The air conditioning is inadequate and needs to provide lower temperatures. We were too warm every night, in the month of October. As in many resorts, the nightly entertainment is mediocre, with the same kind of musicians playing too loudly, to the discomfort of those who want to chat rather than dance or be deafened, using backing tracks and with little ability to play requests or vary music styles. If the volume was lower, most people could put up with the very average and sometimes below-average singing quality of the artists. This drives away rather than attracts many residents but those who have low appreciation and high tolerance levels. The food was excellent at breakfast and the table arrangements were fine. Pool water was always clean and at a nice temperature, even whilst the sea is warmer than usual. This hotel is closing for an upgrade over the next 6 or 7 months, and we hope that these problems might be addressed to bring it up to the standard of which it is certainly capable. "Beautiful property in the Algarve. Very spread out but the staff will drive you around on golf carts if necessary. Many great restaurants onsite, beautiful pools, and lots of activities. Played miniature golf on site which was fun."

"A true luxury experience. Our room was spotless and comfortable. The views from the room, restaurants, and Sky Bar are absolutely breathtaking. Don’t miss the breakfast buffet - a perfect place to watch the sun rise. The staff are friendly and helpful. The location was a perfect distance to walk to town, and for our hiking and kayaking excursions. Parking was ample and easy to access. If you are lucky you will be greeted by Ricardo who shared a wealth of local tips."

"The hotel grounds were good, breakfast was plentiful even though repetitive day by day. They had nightly entertainment, some good, some not. The on site Flor de Sal was very good, the service there was excellent. My biggest complaint was the unfriendliness of the reception and staff everywhere. No one smiles or greets you when you walk by. I felt there was a general unfriendly vibe from the staff everywhere. They don't seem happy or pretend to be happy for the clients!! My room was fine, pillows were lumpy, I asked for new ones, and they were not any better. The bathroom was the worst: my shower had mold, All it needed was some bleach and cleaning. The washroom faucet was scratched, shower door didn't close. More than once, I told the reception about it, nothing was done. They did offer a new room but it was a huge hassle to move so we declined. The pools were ok, the adult pool was often dirty, we didn't use the outdoor pools much. The gym is nice and well equipped. Overall, it is a good hotel but the staff needs to trained to be nicer and friendlier with smiles! I don't think I would choose this hotel again. We stayed in Lisbon at a PortoBay and the vibe there was better, and hence chose this one,"

"Apartment 848, clean and spacious. What was a really nice touch arriving after 10pm was fresh bread, butter, jam and milk. Thank you! Wifi in apartment n restaurants. Close to the Tennis club but we choose to use our breakfast voucher in the Doce cafe which was a 1k walk, which was lovely but u can use the resort shuttle taxi. The 3 staff in Doce were brilliant each morning, Fantastic cocktails in beach club too, it was quiet in October but great music by DJ pool water is cool but refreshing! We enjoyed watching the tennis & Paddle and would definitely book if we were back. The beach is flawless and lovely to watch the golfers. Really nice wide spread resort, the hire car was handy when we decided to eat off site."
