Situated in the town of Okotoks but a bit too far from Calgary with no public transport links. We used taxis and Uber. We found the nearest C train station Somerset Bridlewood and then we transferred to Uber. Taxi from the Econo Lodge to Calgary was £50. The hotel is close to a cargo train line so there were a few blasts of the whistle early mornings, otherwise the hotel was quiet. The room service only comes in when you request it at reception. Excellent hotel. One of the cleanest and spacious hotel rooms we have stayed in. We had a 2 bed suite and it was fabulous with a living area and full kitchen in between the two bedrooms. Both bathrooms were modern and immaculately clean. The reception guy was super friendly too offering us evening snacks but we were going out to eat. This hotel is outside of Calgary town so not great if you want the town on your doorstep (which we didn’t) but easy for parking and route to Banff the next day.

Very helpful staff, especially in the Sage & co restaurant. I recommend the granola power bowl if you like a healthy breakfast. Great facilities - could do with a second bench in the gym as we were all sharing one and there’s definitely room for one more. Room was cleaned daily and there were endless supplies of water and toiletries. We stayed here and visited Banff/Jasper. Both were easy enough to get to if you don’t mind the driving.
