"This is one of the less nice Sandman properties we've stayed at. Our first room was awful and smelled like dog; turns out it was one of the pet-friendly ones and maybe the pet had an accident there? The second room was across the pool and was super humid. We normally like Sandman hotels; this was a property we'll likely avoid going forward."

"We stayed for one night after my mom got surgery in Calgary. Her surgery finished sooner than anticipated. We phoned regarding early check in and was told it would cost $30 (no problem - just wanted somewhere for her to lay down). Upon arrival, this fee was actually waived and we did not realize until checking the card charge. We thought this was super kind considering our circumstances! We asked for an extra blanket so she could sit in the chair in the room. Housekeeping delivered within minutes! The room was actually perfect for her recovery. She was able to sit in the chair (needed to keep her head raised), connect to the TV, and relax post op. The room was spacious and clean. There’s other amenities that we did not use, but we did utilize free breakfast and the coffee machine in the lobby. This was also great as we could bring a meal up to the room for her. All the staff were super kind and welcoming. The location is also quite central, which works for most. I would 100% recommend staying here!"
