Room was clean, staff we’re really helpful and pleasant and the breakfast was great… The hotel’s location really worked for us as we had to travel into San Francisco (train station is 2 blocks/5min walk away) and also visit family in Oakland. Overall, a great hotel👍

spacious bedrooms with balcony. Had a river view Not bad location but need a car, or can use Uber to lomdon jack square. From there great ferry service to san francisco. London Jack square has a few bars and places to eat.

This is a budget hotel in downtown Oakland. Maybe the decor isn't as beautiful as it could be, and the rooms are small for Americans (I'm English so was delighted by what I saw as a decent-sized room). And yes, downtown Oakland has a reputation (although I walked around at night and felt safe). You also should know that the staff were all wonderful, bed comfortable, the room was quiet, there was a nice table to work at, the breakfast was good for a hotel of this standard and it is competitively...
