From gracious front desk hosts who helped coordinate tours and airport shuttles to the breakfast staff who served made-to-order omelettes, the Terra Cave Hotel was all one could hope for in a hotel.
Every morning, we enjoyed the stunning view of the city from the hotel's breakfast buffet terrace. The breakfast was vegetarian-friendly and was sufficient to keep us full all morning. The staff was always friendly, never pushy, and we never felt pressured to spend more money or add more to our itinerary than we wanted.
The Wifi (internet) connection was good enough for a quick video interview call to the US with only a few interruptions. The Wifi had no problem loading up a Netflix movie. Water pressure of the shower was impressive and the room was cleaned daily with fresh towels. November can be chilly, but the room was always warm and the hot water never ran out.
The location was a quick walk to the downtown, or a 20-minute walk to the Open Air Museum. Other sites are more convenient to reach in a day tour (the Green Tour was perfect for us), booked by the hotel--all we did was get picked up in front of the gate and dropped off at the end. It's surprising how important the hotel was to make the entire trip as smooth as possible.
Bottom line: the location, amenities, and very reasonable price makes this hotel a place we'll recommend to others and remember to book again in the future.
