"What stood out was the service, from the manger Jimmy greeting us as we arrived to all of the front desk staff. Winnie and Timothy stood out for their hospitality and warmth. The breakfast buffet was excellent and the restaurant staff were friendly and helpful. The room was fine for my wife , myself and our 7 year old son . Great shower after a busy day of sightseeing. Location is 3 minutes from a train station that can take you anywhere. I would recommend staying here and if we were to return to Kyoto sound stay here again ."

"Overall was a great experience and we loved the hotel’s atmosphere. However the problem was that they didn’t have extra bed for my child although the original booking was for three occupancies. They said max per room 2 only. It was difficult for my child to sleep. Sofa wasn’t comfortable."

"Loved the modified ryokan experience. The staff is very welcoming. The onsen was excellent - so many different looks to choose from. The food is the best - excellent breakfast with so many choices including fresh seafood, availability of noodle and ice cream after onsen at night. The only downside is its popularity meant many many guests ( and long breakfast line). My kids really enjoyed the stay."
